CPS SG Inventory Controller

Role Overview

The inventory controller will be part of the Singapore planning team and be responsible for the overall analysis and management of inventory across all categories (packaging, raw materials, finished goods, etc.). The role routinely provides inventory analysis to support building an optimized supply plan guided by primary supply chain key performance indicators (KPI’s) – Inventory Health (Weeks of Stock or WOS), On-Hand Inventory Value, Inventory Loss, Inventory Accuracy and Perfect Order Rate (Service level), for the local Singapore manufacturing site.

  • Leading the routines for the analysis and management of inventory across all categories (packaging, raw materials, finished goods, etc.)
  • Routinely analyze inventory trends and use analysis to support buyers and master planners update planning parameters and stocking levels to make an optimized supply plan
  • Drives Inventory optimization for the Singapore site to a sustainable level – providing sufficient flexibility to market demand fluctuations yet optimized against on-hand inventory value and warehouse storage
  • Lead the monthly routine Materials Review Board (MRB) activities to reduce write-off for both local plant and operating unit (OU)
  • Work with various functions to ensure Inventory Accuracy for local Singapore site; scope includes on-site warehouse, external warehouses and internal Production Work-In-Progress (WIP) locations
  • Review cross-functional processes, standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions relating to inventory movements and records to ensure synchronization and achieve the inventory accuracy targets
  • Jointly implement inventory control programs with the cross functional teams – Warehouse, Production, QA and Finance to achieve inventory targets and compliance with our Quality system and SOX audit
  • Drives reconciliation of inventory discrepancy with the cross functional teams – Warehouse, Production, QA and Purchasing
  • Develop and initiate improvement opportunities (such as monitoring programs) to further improve and optimize inventory related KPI’s
  • Support or Lead root cause analysis to identify root cause, propose preventive and corrective actions on inventory related issues

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Foundation of supply planning and inventory management knowledge
  • Demonstrate ability for strong communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate good analytical and detailed approach
  • Minimum >3 years of experience in supply chain for a manufacturing site with a working knowledge on SAP, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Inventory Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or another related field will be an advantage
  • Positive change mindset towards digital tools and transformation will be an added advantage
