Senior Manager, Marketing Flavors, Egypt

1. Egypt Flavors Portfolio Leadership & Growth Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end flavors category strategy for Egypt, including brand roles, portfolio architecture, flavor segmentation, occasion mapping, and whitespace identification relevant to local consumption habits.

  • Lead Egypt inputs into Annual Business Planning (ABP) for the flavors category, ensuring alignment with both Franchise and Africa priorities.

3. Innovation Pipeline & Category Futureproofing

  • Lead end-to-end flavor innovation for Egypt from local consumer insights and trend identification to concept development, R&D collaboration, and market launch.
  • Focus on innovations relevant to Egypt trends such as affordable indulgence, local flavors, low/no sugar, and refreshment needs.
  • Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance to ensure innovations are scalable, locally relevant, and profitable.
  • Manage innovation governance, ensuring strong prioritization and successful delivery of the Egypt flavors pipeline.

4. Commercial & Bottler Partnership

  • Serve as the key marketing interface with bottler partners (e.g., Egypt bottling system) for flavors business planning and execution.
  • Lead KO-Bottler’s forums to ensure right content and alignments are taking place.
  • Support RGM initiatives, including price- pack architecture tailored to Egypt’s price-sensitive environment, flavor assortment optimization, and channel-specific strategies.
  • Work closely with Customer & Commercial teams to ensure best-in-class execution across Egypt’s key channels: Traditional Trade (TT), Modern Trade (MT), On-Premise, and growing e-commerce platforms.
  • Drive alignment to ensure strong in-market execution, including availability, visibility, and distribution of key flavors.

5. Insights, Analytics & Performance Management

  • Leverage Egypt-specific consumer, shopper, and retail insights to optimize the flavors portfolio and drive decision-making.
  • Monitor category performance, brand health, flavor-level performance, and competitive activity within the Egypt market.
  • Use data and analytics to guide flavor mix optimization, forecasting, and strategic interventions.
  • Partner with Africa Insights and local teams to ensure a consistent, single source of truth while reflecting Egypt realities.

6. Capability Building & Marketing Orchestration

  • Build flavors category expertise within Egypt Franchise teams and bottler organizations.
  • Lead knowledge sharing on local taste trends, consumer behavior, and successful innovation case studies in Egypt.
  • Establish consistent ways of working aligned with Africa frameworks while adapting to Egypt market needs.
  • Ensure strong cross-functional orchestration across IMX, Commercial, RGM, Supply Chain, and Insights teams within Egypt.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, category management, portfolio strategy, or innovation roles.
  • Strong experience in Egypt FMCG or beverage market preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Egypt consumer behavior, retail landscape, and route-to-market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders across Franchise and bottler systems.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using Egypt retail and consumer data.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Sustainable growth of the flavors category in Egypt in terms of volume, value share, and profitability.
