The core responsibility of the job is to work in partnership with the Need State Innovation Strategy Director and the Need State Commercial Strategy Director [the Need state ‘triangle'] to create value growth for the Western Europe Business Unit.

This role is the guardian of the global brand positioning for all the brands that are anchored in the relevant need state in which the role operates. And therefore, this role is responsible for identifying the compelling human insight, defining the strategy and delivering the business brief through to execution for those brands.

We are looking for a CREATIVE STRATEGY DIRECTOR

The core responsibility of the job is to work in partnership with the Need State Innovation Strategy Director and the Need State Commercial Strategy Director to create value growth for the Western Europe Business Unit.

This role is the guardian of the global brand positioning for all the brands that are anchored in the relevant need state in which the role operates. And therefore, this role is responsible for identifying the compelling human insight, defining the strategy and delivering the business brief through to execution for those brands.

The primary focus of this role is to bridge strategy and execution by ensuring that plans are relevant and realistic and bodes well for execution excellence. The role must ensure seamless transition of business briefs to execution teams led by the Project Director/ Project lead to be able to generate integrated marketing plans for the business unit. The role needs to ensure complete grounding of the business plans by deep consumer immersions to identify consumer tensions and insights where the brands can play a credible role to capture unfair share of throat. The role is a crucial bridge between planning and execution and he/she must have expertise in strategy and market execution to be able to successfully deliver the expectations of this important role. Hence as well as providing guidance & inspiration to internal project leads & content experts, they should also provide guidance where required to content experts to ensure the creative strategy is delivered through to execution with our agency partners.

Key skills required:

  • A minimum of 15 years' marketing industry experience.
  • Previous experience in a functional area in a director role and/or team leader role.
  • Solid experience working in a regional role or across markets.
  • Experience working in an agency planning role a preference
  • Experience working with senior / regional agency partners a must.
  • People management within matrix organisation and virtual working
  • Proven record of delivering significant uplift in brand metrics in major markets a must.
  • Work experience in the beverage category is an added advantage.
