Position Overview:

Our functional scope and landscape are expanding and we are looking for a Senior SAP Developer to become a key member of the company Global SAP Center of Excellence (CoE). The CoE supports the exciting journey of the company worldwide IT transformation to the latest SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Cloud applications portfolio.

The developer will operate with high degree of independence, acting as software architect and development lead for specific functional stream, following Dev/Ops like approach for the provided SAP services.

The role is not expected to be the best specialist in every SAP technology - it is expected to be able to provide the generalist view of the required SAP developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Architects, Consultants, Business Analysts and others to design, develop, implement, enhance, and maintain applications and solutions of various complexity.
  • Leads the creation of the SAP development standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Validates partner developer teams' deliverables.
  • Coordinates technical aspects of operations such as analyzing and solving problems in the productive systems, making enhancements to existing functionality, and fixing bugs in the applications.
  • Develops prototypes and presents to stakeholders as solution options as well as for purposes of introducing new technologies and development techniques in the environment.
  • Develops test plans and where necessary executes testing (unit and integration) and documents results.
  • Creates the required development and support documentation.
  • Acts as leading SAP software development expert in the organization.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. 

Qualifications: 

  • At least 5 years of SAP ABAP development experience

and/or

  • Experience /Knowledge about SAP Fiori applications development concepts and architecture using SAP Gateway, OData and UI5/HTML5/JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX.
  • Experience/Knowledge about the different SAP interfacing techniques and Integration services.
  • Good knowledge of SAP Development best practices and SAP specific application and software development/lifecycle management tools (Solution Manager, Revtrac, NWDI, etc).
  • Experience with cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience or working knowledge of Dev/Ops methods and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative problem-solving skills, ability to listen to and understand needs across diverse stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work with remote and local team members.

Advantages:

  • Experience with SAP WEB IDE and SAP Cloud Platform Services and architecture
  • SAP Software Architecture and Best practices, including the latest changes related to S/4 HANA - AMDP, CDS, etc.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Dev/Ops methods and tools.
  • Good subject matter expertise in the SAP Finance and Controlling solutions or SAP Supply Chain& Logistics solutions.
