Job Description Summary:

The Accounting & Reporting Manager role is in the Consolidations, Capital, & Reporting Team, which is part of the Company's Corporate Controller's Group. This team is responsible for leading the collection, consolidation, & reporting of actuals as well as the maintenance of the Company's Financial Consolidation (FC) reporting systems.

Function-Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

The key activities of the Accounting & Reporting Manager role include the following:

External & Internal Financial Reporting:

  • Collaborate with assigned accounting locations to ensure alignment and continuous improvement of the financial close process
    • Build & maintain relationships with locations by communicating jointly-developed standards, projects, & enhancements
    • Provide accounting & system guidance to locations to ensure financial statements are free from material errors
    • Review balance sheet & cash flow submissions & associated narratives as well as follow up on & resolve questions/issues independently
    • Understand & log all material identified financial statement errors & coordinate with locations to facilitate reporting errors
  • Analyze & provide insights to senior management related to balance sheet & cash flow results
  • Prepare and/or review information used for external reporting (Earnings Release, 10-Q, 10-K) & support the SEC filing each quarter
  • Support leadership team with ad hoc requests

Consolidation System Stewardship:

  • Understand system functionality, including the impact to consolidated results & reporting
  • Perform updates to the Financial Consolidation (FC) system, including testing & reviews

Project Management & Process Simplification/Enhancement:

  • Suggest thoughtful changes to tasks & processes that simplify and/or standardize work both within the team & across the broader Controller's Group & Financial Services
  • Provide project oversight for various key initiatives, including cross-functional teams both within & outside the team
  • Support global training activities, including creation, coordination, & presentation of training & reference materials

Functional Skills:

  • Strong accounting & U.S. GAAP knowledge
  • Strong systems knowledge, exposure, or aptitude (SAP Financial Consolidation preferred)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge required
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizing skills
  • Good multi-tasking & prioritizing skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Initiative to get the job done

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPA preferred

Related Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong accounting & U.S. GAAP knowledge required
