Job Description Summary:The Planning and Logistics Manager is a key member of the Plant leadership team and will be responsible for Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing and Transportation & Logistics Operations and BCP execution to ensure continuity of supply.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure there is an established master plan and weekly production schedule which converts immediate and future demand (forecast, customer orders, customer schedules, commercialization timeline, etc.) into a feasible production plan to ensure matched sets of resources (e.g. materials, man power, equipment capacity, etc.) are available to meet the needs of customers in a cost-effective and production efficient manner.
- Lead the Monthly Sales & Operations Planning review meeting, highlighting critical business issues and bottlenecks that may potentially impact the achievement of the Master Plan and overall plant objectives.
- Support Third Party Logistics partners with all import and export related activities (e.g. customs clearance, transportation in and out of the plant, etc.).
- Provide business strategy recommendations to ensure cost-efficient means of multimodal transportation
Suitable applicants will need a minimum 5 to 7 years experience in Master Planning, Demand Planning, Local Transportation, International Logistics, Warehouse Management or related Supply Chain function, and experience of inventory management and MRP processes.
SAP experience would be highly advantageous.
This job will be based in Tuas.
