This role manages the execution & monitoring of the QSE strategies & policies to protect and enhance The Coca-Cola Company resources, assets, trademarks & corporate reputation.
Within this remit all legal and franchise quality and food safety, health & safety, environment requirements, policies and standards must be met or exceeded.

B. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that The Coca-Cola Company Standards (i.e. KORE), QSE Management Systems and programs are implemented and executed in the franchised bottler operations as per Company Governance model. That includes risk analysis, continuous improvement and troubleshooting.

- Manage the implementation of The Coca-Cola Company Environmental & Safety programs and policies through the franchise supply chain mitigating safety accidents and environmental impact.

- Support the re-application of QSE best practices across the BU providing identification and subject matter expertise of local best practices.

- Support productivity and innovation:

- Ensure safe product and package launches by managing QSE and food safety aspects during commercialization process. Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies and advise management on identified risks.

- Set up fit for purpose QSE procedures and solutions (when needed, if non existing)

- Validate and authorize new sites, manufacturing processes, equipment and changes in Ingredients & Packaging.

- Documenting, sharing and operationalizing the collective organizational learnings.

- Supporting Incident Management Teams (IMT) as directed by Management.

D. COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES: 

  • Internal Communication:

QSE functions (Manufacturing sites, CPS, other BU's, QSE leaders, )

R&D,

Procurement, Supply chain Operations, Engineering

KO & Bottler Management

  • External Communication:

QSE functions within suppliers, co-fillers, Laboratories

E. ANALYSIS:

- Must analyze data across the system to make recommendations and recommend action.

- Turning stakeholders' inputs into clear, concise, actionable standards

- Processing external and internal data to provide Management Information

- Management of the document & data set (Management system) to drive Continuous Improvement

F. JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING:

- Responsible to execute Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE) routines

- Escalate QSE risks and propose recommended mitigation plans.

G. INNOVATION:

- Ensure safe product and package launches by managing QSE and food safety aspects during commercialization process. Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies and advise management on identified risks.

- support the packaging and product innovation process through timely authorizations

H. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. QUALIFICATIONS / COMPENTENCIES / SKILLS:

  • Advanced food safety and quality skills
  • Subject matter expertise in Beverage Technology (icl. low acid), Products, Microbiology
  • Experience in risk assessment methodologies and continuous improvement techniques
  • Analytical mindset, capable of solving complex problems
  • Flexible and able to work under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant QSE standards.
  • Well-developed communication & presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Good influencing at Senior Leadership level
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Sound business knowledge, combined with drive for change & delivery of results
  • Great networking and collaboration in teams
  • Solution oriented

J. RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting in Food Industry or Pharmaceutical Field, of which 3+ years of direct quality management experience including a senior role for a plant facility

- Preferably experience in beverage industry, packaging or ingredient manufacturing operations, with good knowledge of relevant Quality, Safety and Environment aspects.

- Experience in operating within a multi-national corporation and proven adaptability and sensitivity to other cultures.

- Experience in collaborating and communicating up to Senior Management level across multiple sites and countries.

- Experience in managing continuous improvement across multiple sites or functions.

- Experience in planning and implementation of strategies and projects, ensuring plans are put in place and executed on budget against timescales.

K. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

University Bachelor's/Master's degree, preferred in an area of Food Engineering or Science or Packaging Technology

L. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's or Ph. D in Food Science (Chemistry, Microbiology or Technology)

M. Languages:

English is a must.

Other languages within Western Europe are a plus (French, German, Spanish, Dutch etc.)

N. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

Up to 40% (site visits, meetings, …) mainly in Western Europe
