Job Description Summary:Position Overview
For our IT Delivery Center in Sofia, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to contribute to the development and management of BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. This role includes developing well designed, testable, efficient solutions by using best software development practices. You should have an analytical thinking, background in data and business analysis and excellent communication skills. If you also have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence systems to help us make better decisions.
Translate business needs to technical specifications
Design, build and deploy BI solutions
Carry out database modeling and system performance tuning
Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure BI Platforms & Tools)
Conduct testing and troubleshooting
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation
Take initiative, be analytical, and innovative
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
2+ years proven experience as a developer
Excellent understanding of DBMS (database management systems), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) principles and frameworks
Knowledge and experience with Azure storage, BI and Analytics services (e.g. Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL DB, Azure Analysis Services, Azure App Service)
Experience with data reporting and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, MS SSRS, SSAS
Familiarity with other BI and Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Informatica)
Background in data engineering and/or and data science
Development Methodology: Experience with frameworks for agile software development such as Scrum, Test-Driven Development, knowledge of DevOps principles and tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, Git.
