Job Description Summary:CocaCola Freestyle is seeking an experienced individual to be Group Director, Platform Engineering to lead a diverse team of Engineers, Designers, and PLM Managers that support new dispenser innovation projects, major technology upgrades, and sustaining Engineering. The individual for this role will have demonstrated strong direct team leadership and management skills.
This role is a peer to the Software Group Director, Quality Director, Manufacturing Director, Platform Engineering and Technical Project Management and must have experience with electronics and software as well mechanical products/equipment. This director level engineer will have had prior experience in leading new equipment to market preferably in the beverage fountain industry, consumer electronics, automotive or commercial equipment. Individual must have led several products from concept to commercialization and possess the following functional competencies:
I Professional Knowledge
Possesses an inventive level of understanding of engineering concepts, practices, and theories used in the development and execution of complex integrated electrohydromechanical systems. Expert skill level in the following competencies:
Reliability, Serviceability, and Availability
Manufacturability, Assembly, Testability
Safety/Regulatory Compliance Engineering
Software, Electrical, Mechanical and Information Engineering
II Engineering Analysis and Design
Demonstrated applied engineering knowledge in solving complex technical and business requirement objectives. Presents, communicates findings gearing technical concepts to meet audience knowledge level. Areas of applied engineering knowledge must include but not be limited to:
Engineering Change Management
III Engineering Lifecycle
Demonstrated experience in leading multiple new products/equipment through design, development and market launch. Thorough understanding of the creation and delivery of the following:
• Structural and Industrial Design• Systems Design and Deve
• New Equipment Introduction Execution
• On going support of equipment through the life cycle to obsolescence
IV Engineering Managing
Leads engineering organization by matching capabilities, processes, organization strengths and technology to address current and future challenges.
Continuous Process Improvement
3rd Party Evaluation and Management
V Engineering Planning
Demonstrates a comprehensive perspective to project plans. Demonstrates an expert understanding of the project context and environment, model systems of varying complexity, and discover new approaches and ideas.

- Systems Implementation, Operations and Maintenance, and Transitions
VI Technical Project Management
Project Management Knowledge: Understands and demonstrates expertise in project management methods, tools, reporting, risk mitigation, steering committee management, communication etc. experience include:
• Individual will have new equipment introduction experience having launched and commercialized new software driven electromechanical or hydroelectromechanical type equipment or products.
• Individual will possess a BSEE, BSME, or similar with 15 plus years of new product development experience.
Individual will have managed a highly successful engineering organization.
Must possess strong skills and experience in the competencies identified in this job description
Consumer electronics with highly competitive timetomarket experience highly desirable
Software Lifecycle experience desirable
- Worldwide regulatory compliance experience desirable
Bachelor of Science Degree (focus on engineering, process engineering or computer science). Master's Degree is a plus.
PMP certification desirable.
Agile experience Related Work Experience:
7+ years' experience as a project manager.
3+ years' experience with embedded design (hardware and software and mechanical systems).
5+ years' experience in the practice of requirements engineering according to a product development life cycle in a team environment. ?
