Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receive, classify, store, distribute, request, and take inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Pack, unpack, count, weigh and measure materials, supplies and equipment upon receipt.
  • Check materials received against invoices and notes breakage and discrepancies in quantity or quality.
  • Pick Parts, Supplies, and Materials from Inventory to fill Work Orders.
  • Must be able to lift 50 Pounds, and carry Parts, Materials, and Supplies when necessary.
  • Reads maintenance schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Manage the use of company issued Purchasing credit card and maintain associated invoice files. Reconcile purchases monthly and provide required documentation to Finance in a timely fashion
  • Review open material requirements, monitor vendor performance, and expedite when necessary. Ensure problems related to delivery, quality, or pricing are promptly conveyed to the supplier and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all P.O.'s have the appropriate attachments for suppliers and/or their subcontractors, including those relating to insurance requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Be able to compare suppliers and contractors on price, delivery terms, etc.  
  • Prepare purchase orders in system by verifying specifications and price, comparing items requested to master parts list, and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items.
  • Prepare various procurement and inventory status reports to present to management.
  • Applies Company specific policies and procedures in daily activities, particularly as they relate to material purchasing and inventory.
  • Perform Inventory Cycle Counts, Year End Physical Inventory, and reconcile physical count versus computer inventory.
  • Verify/manage the receipt of items by comparing items/packing list received to purchase orders, and resolve shipments or invoicing errors with suppliers.
  • Any other tasked as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have computer skills including operational knowledge of SAP, Word, Excel, and Outlook (SAP-PM knowledge is preferred)
  • Must have basic knowledge of machinery, parts, and equipment required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have prior purchasing/procurement, Inventory analysis and inventory control work experience.
  • Must have experience in cycle and annual inventory counts and data analysis.
  • Experienced in asset management and documentation procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify irregularities in inventory movement, and make corrections as necessary.
