Job Description Summary
The expanding digital technology landscape and mobile technology penetration has led to quick adoption of digital shopping behaviors by consumers. A growing audience of consumers now purchase our products from digital retailers in addition to traditional brick-and-mortar retailers. To support markets as they execute our right principles daily in the digital shopping world will require an orchestrated review of the matrixed processes across bottlers, markets and retailers for opportunities to evolve the digital processes and capabilities coupled with a deep understanding of the digital FMCG industry.The Ecommerce Capabilities Director will be tasked with advancing global ecommerce capabilities at The Coca-Cola Company. This includes implementing and advancing the Product Content Ecosystem (PCE), which standardizes product information and product imagery in global, scalable technology solutions to allow syndication to downstream channels. The Director of Ecommerce Capabilities will be responsible for orchestrating the work streams and vendors to support this work.

Functional Specific Activities:


  • Serve as a key thought leader of the FMCG ecommerce category, bringing industry expertise to corporate stakeholders, markets, bottlers and retail partners.
  • Understanding the omni-channel shopping journey of the company, customer and consumer, including the digital shelf strategy, and data requirements and data delivery to customer. Optimizing each phase of the ecosystem to meet those needs.
  • As a champion of the needs of the business units and customers, partners with strategy leads from Customer and Commercial Leadership and Growth to develop solutions that lead the industry and identify strategic applications of PCE to broader channels, such as ecommerce auditing and product imagery generation.
  • Lead efforts to scale the Product Content Ecosystem across our top performing digital markets, through stakeholder partnership and relationship building, standardized technology and processes, while balancing the unique needs of markets.
  • Evolve the Product Content Ecosystem by continuing to explore changes in the industry, the markets and with our customers.
  • Work with the Digital Assets Director and PIM Director to build a PCE capability roadmap balancing the needs of all groups.
  • Communicate the vision and success through expert storytelling to businessstakeholders.
  • Manage annual business planning, evolving the current capability to meet future needs while balancing financial constraints.

Capability Building and Operations:

  • Shepherding the vision of the Product Content Ecosystem from idea to implementation to global execution.
  • Balancing delivery of superior user experience with the need to deliver business results that lead to increased ecommerce and digital sales.
  • Provide the technology solutions that deliver product content and imagery to customers in support of digital product content syndication.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the budget for PCE efforts and proactively strategize with the global community to plan for future funding.
  • Tell the story of TCCC's ecommerce success and evolution through standardized KPIs, regular reporting and strategic anecdotes.
  • Manage and contribute to the development of a “playbook-like” reference tool to standardize operations, ease onboarding and provide reference for the technology ecosystem and services.

People and Stakeholder Management:

  • Leading a team of associates, technology vendors and associated field stakeholders to manage the evolving product content needs of our bottlers and customers through process improvement and technology enhancements.
  • Work in conjunction with Growth and Customer and Commercial Leadership, bottlers and customers to translate our right execution daily principles in the physical world to digital ecommerce.
  • Drive cross-functional teams comprised of both business and technology to deliver complete capabilities.
  • Lead coordination of knowledge sharing:
    • Ecommerce best practices within markets
    • Governance and training material
    • Industry trends
    • Cross-market, global retailer needs
    • Data Impact Reports
    • Introduction of new tools and capabilities


  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years in ecommerce experience
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing operations and processes
  • Experience in FMCG ecommerce, specifically B2B2C with exposure to D2C and B2B models, including ratings and health monitoring, content delivery and retail partnerships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SRP and PDP optimization, eCMD providers (e.g., Salsify or Content Analytics), and content health auditing.
  • Experience with creation, management and optimization of digital shelf components, including images, product naming, marketing copy, enhanced content, search placement, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in development of new or existing product strategies from conception to implementation, and solution design
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of digital asset management and product information management
  • Ability to take data and use it to “tell a story” and optimize outcomes
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting and metrics
  • 5+ years experience managing a team - remote team management a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of digital strategy development, digital strategies, channels and measurement/analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
