Job Description Summary

The District Sales Manager leads the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) team in a specific geographic area and is tasked with volume and revenue growth, employee development, and overall promotion of Coca-Cola's entries in the chilled Natural Health Beverage (NHB) category.

Function Specific Activities:


  • The District Sales Manager (DSM) has responsibility for all aspects of managing a sales district comprised of 6-15 Route Sales Representatives (RSR's).
  • Each Sales District Leader leads a multi-million dollar business and will be responsible for administrative and technical support, as well as facilitating information to the sales team.
  • A DSM should have strong leadership and communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced constantly changing work environment,
  • Be able to confidently interact with customers (store management) and effectively sell in/execute sales programs and initiatives.
  • Additionally, a DSM will lead district meetings focused on a plan to achieve sales objectives and goals, conduct one-with-one meetings
  • Spend time riding with RSR's in a working environment to train and develop, and coach RSR's to successfully sell against baseline and promotional opportunities.
  • DSM's should be able to collect and interpret statistical data using custom applications and formulate strategic plans based on immediate and long-term needs.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees


  • Consumer packaged goods experience in a Direct Store Delivery environment
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and follow up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Required to maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) certification and clean MVR
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and weekends as needed
