Senior Director, Finance – Wendy’s & Chick-fil-a

The Finance Director is a customer facing position and will be responsible for leading all aspects of the finance function related to the Wendy’s and Chick-fil-a Customer Teams. The Finance Director indirectly leads a team of dedicated finance resources across Finance Hub and FSOP HQ Finance and is a member of the Wen-fil-a leadership team.

Function Related Activities:

  • Execute Coca-Cola’s contract with Wendy’s and Chick-fil-a, ensuring: 1. Customer reimbursement payments are issued accurately and timely 2. Customer billing is accurate and complete 3. Customer is delivering on contractual performance criteria
  • Steward Accounts Receivable to maximize revenue through accurate billing and ongoing collection
  • Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert to the team on significant matters relating to financial policies, programs, profitability and P&L implication from both Company and Customer perspectives
  • Advise and support the Sales VP and Customer Teams with strategic leadership and recommendations that drive long-term profitable growth
  • Co-develop Coca-Cola Freestyle growth strategies, forecasts and Customer Team policies with Vice President of Sales and Senior Director of Operations
  • Support broad cross-functional leadership team in financial analysis and financial strategy issues.
  • Oversee P&L Management and accounting – including interface with our reimbursements COE
  • Re-examine rolling estimate assumptions for remaining months in current year (e.g., volume, pricing, packaging, product, operating expenses) to determine validity of those assumptions and to evaluate potential scenarios for management to consider in the submission of the rolling estimate.
  • Strong influencing skills required to interface with Customer stewardship and cultivation of customer relationships in addition to discussing opportunities and resolving issues Finance/Controls Leadership
  • Lead Control environment on customer team
  • Ensure the implementation and consistent execution of standard business policies and practices as they relate to Internal Controls

Qualification & Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field, with a Master’s preferred. 
  • 10 years of financial/sales analysis work experience required 
  • Experienced in Annual Business Planning and strategic thinking including applying forecasting techniques and skills to develop and evaluate business goals and strategies, analyzing information to derive insights and implications to initiate planning/re-planning, and controlling actual results vs. budget. 
  • Must possess ability to motivate and develop the talent and to collaborate with cross-functional peers to define the business plan/rolling estimate deliverables.  
  • Strong understanding of customer P&L management (including drivers of volume, revenue, and gross profit), revenue growth management capabilities, forecasting and trade spend effectiveness. 
  • Ability to evaluate business planning goals/strategies and analyze financials to derive at insights and initiate gap solving for Customer leadership team. 
  • Strong change management capabilities – demonstrates innovation and creativity to create business solutions; ability to influence/gain alignment across divergent perspectives.
