Focus, Scope, & Impact:
As a Frontline Marketing Director – Sparkling Soft Drinks (SSD) for Poland & Baltics, you will be responsible for leading the Polish & Baltics Frontline Marketing core SSD portfolio & team, working together with European categories team, and building bottler & franchise relations. This role requires ability to drive system engagement and engage & influence (senior) stakeholders as the role is responsible for day-to-day contact & alignment with Local Bottler on core SSDs.
You are responsible for driving brand & business performance for the SSD portfolio including ownership of the localized brand strategy for the portfolio and activation plans for the market(s). This role will ensure strong local relevance and championing marketing transformation, manage agencies and networks, and lead selected innovation processes.
Frontline Activation Marketing Director for SSDs will :
- Embedded within the Regional plan, develop short- (1 year) and mid-term (2-3 years) business/brand plans identifying business objectives, strategies, key initiatives, and performance measurements by using insights collected from situation assessment, marketplace information, etc. in order to support the OU category and brand growth targets.
- Consumer understanding & analytics to support decision making: Champion consumer data interpretation and build an understanding of local consumer insights in collaboration with Human Insights team to drive actionable insights. Track brand and portfolio performance through data analysis, converting KPIs and findings into specific insights and actions for reports and presentations as needed (e.g. monthly performance reports, market analysis).
- Drive bottler alignment on the Marketing Transformation agenda, including portfolio priorities and category/brand strategies and plans (objectives, DME investments, success metrics and activity calendars, including Innovation projects and IMX Campaigns) in partnership with C&CL and Franchise Leadership.
- Oversee localization and real-time amplification of IMX campaigns within the Franchise unit, providing input to OU IMX team
- Assess attractive local (OU) consumer opportunities that are currently untapped by the Company by leveraging consumer research to identify new volume and profit growth areas (e.g., new beverage sub-categories, new packaging opportunities, new merchandise categories, new channels of distribution to sell licensed merchandise).
- Provide market input on OU and Market level portfolio strategy, brand plans (activities, calendars, execution of allocated DME) and local innovation opportunities as well as IMX campaigns (as applicable).
- Manage local brand(’s/s’) NR, GP, DME to deliver the OU brand growth and financial targets.
- Provide direction, leadership and coaching to Direct Reports and to members of project teams. Lead cross-functional teams on work assignments and tasks; provide direction and manage timeline milestones to achieve KPIs and desired objectives. This role includes a direct line manager responsibility of a team.
Frontline Marketing Director – SSDs will carry out duties through her/his team (including situational coaching and talent development) and individually; and interacting regularly with her/his Regional Frontline Marketing and broader Europe OU marketing team.
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8-12 years of brand management / marketing experience. Experience across multiple categories and innovation experience (demonstrated ability to lead a concept from idea to shelf) is considered a plus.
- Ability to understand market dynamic, competitive moves/understanding and design relevant plans to win in the market, leveraging business, finance and commercial insights.
- Ability to adapt to changing environment and cross correct in due time, scenario planning thinking.
People Management and Leadership
- Proven record of leadership impact and coaching teams. Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with key partners (category marketing teams, bottler, external agencies), and ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders.
- Good project management skills, able to coordinate multiple projects at the same time and deliver high quality on time.
Communication Focus
- Role will require frequent communication with Regional FLA Marketing Stakeholders, OU Category Leads, OU IMX team, and OU C&CL team, OU Franchise leadership teams
- Role will also interact frequently with Bottlers and external parties (activation agencies, media)
Travel requirements:
- Up to 15% of travel required.
