Procurement Consultant

This is an Individual Contributor Role and the incumbent must be based in Atlanta, GA and work a hybrid work schedule.

Position Overview
The Procurement Consultant supports the Global Procurement and Supply Chain Organization through the collection, management, and analysis of data—providing insight and ultimately driving improvement. The Procurement Consultant will become a key member of a strategic sourcing team, providing analytical rigor and technical expertise enabling procurement leadership to improve decision-making. The person in this role will provide thought-leadership and drive innovation around how the analytics team functions. The Procurement Consultant will play a key role in developing analytics; and he/she will manage upward effectively, challenging leadership appropriately with thoughtful perspective and recommendation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day delivery of sourcing operations services. Activities include:
  • Facilitate sourcing events (e.g. RFP, RFI) through E-Sourcing tool management (i.e. develop bid sheets and cost model, configure E-Sourcing event settings)
  • Collaborate with category managers to ensure compliance to sourcing requirements
  • Review and approve catalog information for upload to TCCC systems
  • Lead key analytics activities to provide insight and drive improvement
  • Provide analytical rigor and technical expertise to improve decision-making
  • Act as subject matter expert on TCCC sourcing operations policies, processes, and systems
  • Participate in development of analytical capabilities and digitization initiatives
  • Provide leadership with regular, prioritized updates and escalated issues about operations
  • Communicate key analytics insights by creating and delivering presentations to TCCC teams, executive leaders and sponsors
  • Collaborate with TCCC category managers to build an understanding of category strategy, supplier markets, & processes

 

Background/Expertise Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain, advanced degree preferred
  • 1+ years of work experience in the areas of engineering, business, and/or supply chain
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgement
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of RDBMS (via SQL) concepts
  • Data Visualization & Story Telling expertise
  • Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
  • Familiarity with mathematical optimization and linear programming
  • E-Sourcing experience
  • Programming expertise (e.g. XML, VBA, Python) is preferred

Pay Range:
$85,300 – $101,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:
7.5
