Senior Director – Strategy Franchise Integration
At The Coca-Cola Company, the Strategy function works on developing compelling narratives across “Where to Play” and “How to Win” from both a “Present Forward” as well as a “Future Back” perspective. In the India and South-West Asia Operating Unit [INSWA OU], we are currently seeking a professional with a growth mindset who wants to make a business impact with strategic input. The Senior Director, Franchise Strategy Integration will play a pivotal role in enabling the INSWA Franchise in translating the OU’s strategy to the strategy for Franchise Bottlers and developing actionable commercial insights at the market level. This is a team leadership role, managing a group of high-performing professionals dedicated to driving strategic impact within the Franchise.
Key deliverables:
Drive Franchise strategy and track performance
- Operationalise OU strategy in local markets through annual business planning process; support market/channel customization of BP growth levers and competition analysis to shape differentiated local strategies.
- Proactively drive scenario planning and re-prioritization conversations to adapt to market shifts and unlock new opportunities.
- Partner with Franchise & Finance to track, forecast, and diagnose performance (LEs) at a granular Bottler Unit level, identifying and socializing corrective actions against BP targets. Ensure India Franchise delivery against OU growth ambitions.
- Drive performance management routines, lead the pre-BP preparation workshops with Bottlers/Franchise
Generate insights to drive commercial action
- Integrate data and insights from multiple sources to identify regional opportunities and create actionable commercial levers.
- Partner with OU/Network teams to identify granular commercial and consumer opportunities, developing robust business cases for scale.
Drive system alignment & network collaboration
- Partner with the Franchise to lead end-to-end alignment processes and engagement routines with Bottlers, ensuring one system approach in execution.
- Collaborate with OU Marketing, Commercial, and Finance to build a consistent strategy narrative for both internal and external stakeholders
Strategic Projects
- Lead and prioritize key strategic projects in partnership with Franchise and OU Network, ensuring they directly support India growth goals and deliver system impact.
- Capture learnings from each initiative and cascade them into future planning cycles.
Work Focus
- Must be adept in the development of actionable compelling consumer and commercial insights, strategies and initiatives at the market level
- Use a fact-based, strategic approach to identify the insights, strategies and leading-edge solutions to boost local/granular commercial strategy, with actionable commercial levers
- Steward end to end alignment process with Bottlers. Aligning the bottler ultimately rests with the India Franchise Head
- Capture and network best practices, import and export good ideas
- Manage uncertainty and multiple stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 13-18 Years of experience in strategy, sales or commercial roles, ideally in consumer goods, consulting (TOP TIER) or complex industries.
- Excellent communicator and influencer, skilled at building alignment and relationships with diverse stakeholders and bottler partners.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate insights, macro trends, and data into actionable commercial levers.
- Experienced people leader who can coach, develop, and inspire talent across geographies.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, and role modelling “Leadership in the Network.”
