Role: Director, Category Leadership – Publix (R-127414)
Travel: This role requires up to 25% travel with an expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is preferred.
Position Overview:
Serve as a Category Leader for Publix to deliver best-in-class insights to drive customer growth. Employ total channel and beverage category strategic thinking by leveraging unique insights from a variety of internal and industry sources. Actively influence customer and system decision-making with fact-based and category-centric thought leadership. Own direct relationships with customers to collaboratively build strategies and tactics designed for future category growth.
What You'll Do for Us:
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

Be the industry, channel & category subject matter expert to facilitate retailers’ choice to select Coca-Cola as their key strategic partner

Provide leadership & continued stewardship for retailer’s beverage categories (Sparkling and Still)

Recommend space opportunities and risks for the beverage category

Identify and articulate opportunities as part of the annual customer category situation assessment process

Strive to maintain position as customers' most valued partner for category solutions

Focus on retailer category development while also partnering closely with Sales to support development on sales strategy, which will win in the marketplace

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred: MBA or other Masters
Related Work Experience:
-
8-10+ years in the CPG industry and retail customer experience (manufacturer, retailer, or distributor)
Functional Skills:
-
Deliver impartial and objective total store and beverage solutions for the retailer by providing differentiated, timely, relevant, and actionable insights

Prepare and make presentations to internal and external audiences that include market and industry trends, SWOT, competitive review, assortment, and category reviews

Lead the delivery of the shopper insights & recommend action to improve shopper satisfaction

Lead the discussion of space strategy implications to marketplace execution (including recommended schematics & points of availability) with proposed action to the customer

Influence key system resources (Bottler, Sales and Category) to deploy Coca-Cola collaborative business planning practices effectively

Provide business situation assessment, opportunity identification and support joint business plan objectives using analytical tools: Nielsen/IRI syndicated & panel, shopper card, Coca-Cola proprietary data as well as industry sources to generate actionable insights with retailer partner

Pay Range:
$160,000 – $186,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
