Blender (Chilled) – Night Shift

Blenders are responsible for the safe and correct operation of all blending apparatus e.g. drum dumpers, choppers, mix tank, liquidifiers, pumps, hoses, hoists, totes, semi-bulk systems, blending utensils, process systems, ESL silos, conveyors, shear mixers and forklift.  Blenders must have an elevated attention to detail with the ability to maintain precise documentation and exhibit professionalism and sound judgment.  Familiarity with production equipment and operating and troubleshooting knowledge of coding equipment, on line inspection equipment and the ability to routinely assist production is essential. Ability to obtain internal license and operate a Forklift.  Complete all training requirements listed in the Blender JQM.

Shift: 5:45pm – 6:15am (Nights) – $3 shift differential for 3rd shift. 2/2/3 schedule

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Receive, unload and dismiss ingredient tankers, accurately complete all documentation.  
  • Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, GMP and all CCNA rules and policies.  Report and/or correct safety issues.  Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
  • Safely and efficiently operate blending equipment to produce top quality products using Lean system approach in a 5S environment.
  • Ensure safe and precise operation of all laboratory equipment, use proper storage, handling and disposal methods of all chemicals.  
  • Perform quality inspections on ingredients and batches.  If out of specification conditions are observed, notify responsible personnel and assist in resolution as appropriate. 
  • Follow procedures for Isolating hold product or defective material.
  • Maintain equipment per manufacturers and internal specifications by ensuring the completion of PM’s, initiating work orders, and integrating into the maintenance team during rebuilds and supplementary repairs.
  • Demonstrated computer aptitude using Office, SAP, SPC, EtQ and all CCNA electronic recordkeeping databases, complete and accurate documentation in all Quality records and databases.
  • Perform all Blending Operator CIP/COP duties and surface foaming with mechanical cleaning for all other areas.
  • Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, GMP and all CCNA rules and policies.  Report and/or correct safety issues.  Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
  • Participation in training and qualifying associates, pre-shift meetings, team assignments and audits.
  • Satisfactorily complete all training requirements listed in the Blender JQM.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed toward achieving the Safety, Quality, Service and Cost Objectives of CCNA.
  • Ability to fully recognize and appreciate the value of teamwork by demonstrated participation Capable of sustaining a successful contribution level with little or no direct supervision
  • Above average math skills with the ability to calculate out and perform batch adjustments when necessary. Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to sustain repetitious physical demands.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize and the ability to react to and utilize visual and audio stimuli simultaneously.
  • Capable of learning various systems used in the Blending process and using this knowledge to trouble shoot and diagnose system/operational failures
  • Comprehension of Laboratory procedures, methods of analysis and reporting formats as demonstrated by successful practice.
  • Personally disciplined enough to follow all practices and procedures exactly as specified   
  • Capable of adapting to and successfully performing in a changing environment
  • Ability to be self-driven and proactive

Pay Range:
$39,936 – $59,904

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
