Procurement Director, Closures and Labels
This position will work for the CEPG (Cross Enterprise Procurement Group) Managing Director – Closures & Labels. The position will manage the company’s exposure in North and Latin America to Plastic & Metal Closures, Plastic & Paper Labels, Label Substrates, and upstream commodities Ethylene, Polyethylene and Polypropylene. This position will support Bottlers and Operating Units who participate in the Closures & Labels initiatives. The position provides leadership for sourcing events, sustainability initiatives and supply continuity strategies. In addition, this position is responsible for development, implementation and execution of the CEPG Closures and Labels strategies in line with The Coca-Cola Company’s vision. This position will be based in the US or Mexico as the position will support Closures and Labels initiatives mainly in Americas region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure continuity of supply through supply-based management.
- Provide product and service expertise to Bottlers’ associates to build relationships, improve collaboration and increase Network participation.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development, as appropriate, in order to strengthen System expertise in Plastic & Metal Closures, Plastic & Paper Labels, Labels Substrates, and resin commodities procurement.
- Develop sustainability priorities for the region, connect strategies with KO and CEPG, drive increased participation by our key suppliers, drive Worle Without Waste & climate goals, serve as a liaison to key TCCC sustainability stakeholders.
- Plan and lead the sourcing process for approximately $450 MM of category annual expenditures including closures, labels and upstream materials.
- Develop sourcing strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- Implement global Master Terms Agreements whenever applicable that result in best-in-class terms and conditions for the KO system.
- Formulate plans, tactics and strategies for each commodity and product group to achieve competitive cost spread. Expand the use of Price Risk Management tools to provide pricing stability to CEPG member bottlers.
- Hands on development of contract terms and conditions in collaboration with bottlers to deliver maximum procurement value.
- Build sustainable global supplier relationships that generate value for both The Coca-Cola System and the supplier over time.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior management of strategically important global and regional suppliers to support and enhance the supply strategies of the KO system.
- Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the volume of the Coca-Cola system.
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and strategy delivery models.
- Present price forecast to KO and bottling system senior management as a critical input in the business planning process.
- Identify and monitor key supply chain cost components (unbundling) for relevant categories.
- Assess current and future business environment to determine if changes in objectives are required.
- Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit the Coca-Cola system.
- Build alignment with internal stakeholder groups of the sourcing strategy and procurement process for products/services to identify business needs and to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Monitor and project long term global supply/demand analysis (capacity planning) and product cost modelling for all relevant regional packages to ensure Coca-Cola’s global, regional and local needs are met.
- Lead relationships with OU & Marketing to ensure following brand equity strategies and global promotion execution.
- Develop alternative supply point strategies remaining cognizant of bottler assets as required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree, MBA preferred.

Pay Range:
$137,000 – $161,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
