Senior Manager, Supply Chain – NPSG Sourcing and Innovation Planning

As a member of the NPSG Sourcing and Innovation Planning team, this role plays an integral part in enabling NPSG’s mission of supporting all Regional Producing Bottlers (RPBs) by maximizing System production efficiencies and market opportunities to strengthen the competitiveness of the Coca-Cola System in the United States. NPSG’s mission is fulfilled through governance of (1) Network optimization of production to distribution center sourcing for concentrate, cold-fill products (2) Strategic capital investment and divestment planning; and (3) New product/packaging innovation planning.

The Supply Chain Consultant Sr. Manager is an expert in the areas of network modeling and is responsible for translating network modeling results into financial and business case recommendations to Senior Leadership across RPB’s and the NPSG Board. This position will function as the lead project manager for multiple large-scale, complex initiatives.  The Supply Chain Sr. Manager will also have responsibility for supporting the development of other Supply Chain Analysts.

These activities require strong analytical capabilities, extensive network modeling software knowledge, ability to collaborate and manage cross-functional project teams, experience with change management best practices, demonstrated ability to mentor and develop the skillet of others, and effective communication of complex business cases to senior leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop Innovation Assessments in support of both NAOU and RPB Commercialization Processes

  • Gather and analyze supply chain data such as forecasts, freight costs, manufacturing costs, capital requirements, and production capacity to develop supply chain models
  • Utilize Blue Yonder Supply Chain Strategist (SCS) to determine optimal plant to distribution center sourcing plans for new products and packages; serve as Blue Yonder SCS SME for NPSG on projects with the highest degree of complexity
  • Run scenario / sensitivity analyses in order to understand implications of input variability
  • Create value chains and IRR models, perform cash flow analysis, and develop business cases for capital investment justification
  • Evaluate the supply chain implications of new products including the risks to capacity for production centers producing new products
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously independently

Identify opportunities and lead projects to optimize the flow of products from production center to distribution center

  • Utilize network optimization tools and other analytical tools to identify opportunities to improve the flow of products from production center to distribution center
  • Develop techniques to visualize benefits and work with bottler stakeholders to develop and prioritized project opportunities
  • Lead projects to evaluate opportunities to change the flow of products from production center to distribution and evaluate the financial benefits, supply chain impacts and risks.
  • Develop data sets and tools that allow for the analysis of the manufacturing costs and transportation costs

Lead Innovation and sourcing projects through established validation processes with key stakeholders

  • Lead project validation cadences with cross-functional teams to review modeling and financial assumptions and outputs associated with each business case. Represent work of other analysts as needed
  • Create necessary supporting documents such as RPB specific sourcing files to enable effective project validation discussions with RPBs and NAOU stakeholders (utilizing Tableau, Blue Yonder SCS, Excel, PPT)

Create presentations for NPSG and RPB senior management regarding the recommendation of various studies and projects

  • Present project-based findings and recommendations to NPSG Board and Forum members, Senior Leadership within RPB’s / NAOU, Regional Bottler Personnel, and NAOU Brand and Commercial Leadership
  • Requires minimum oversight during business case development and with creation of presentation content. Assist other analysts as needed.

Support continuous improvement initiatives/projects for Sourcing Optimization, Innovation Planning and Infrastructure Planning

  • Independently identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Update and maintain tools used for modeling and project assessments. This includes support for the National Sourcing Model refresh, input automation tool, finance / ERA tools, and various access databases
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new software or tools that improve process efficiency in the area of network optimization
  • Participate/lead cross-functional process improvement projects within NPSG

Train, mentor, and coach Senior Supply Chain Analysts

  • Develop and update training materials and on-boarding schedule
  • Participate in recruiting process for new Sr. Supply Chain Analysts
  • Provide daily coaching on projects to Sr. Supply Chain Analysts

Qualifications / Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the areas of Engineering, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • 3 to 5 years work in experience in the areas of Finance, Distribution Network Analysis, Manufacturing, Production Network Optimization, Transportation, Demand Planning, or other areas related to Supply Chain 
  • Understanding of network optimization principles, linear programming, and relational databases
  • Strong background with Microsoft tools and manipulation of large data sets
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – including the ability to assess situations, identify discrete problem areas, determine scenarios for analysis, and recommend sound conclusions
  • Experience synthesizing key takeaways across wide range of data sources and translating into defined opportunities
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build & deliver structured & compelling communications (both written and verbal)
  • Bias toward team-based work

Pay Range:
$114,000 – $139,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
