Director, Public Affairs – MER Franchise

KEY WORKING PARAMETERS

  • Provides support for public affairs, government relations, and sustainability related programs and initiatives with a primary focus on KSA market, and in support of other GCC markets.
  • Identify, assess and manage risks and opportunities that may impact the business performance or Company reputation.
  • Drive Coca-Cola’s advocacy and engagement strategy in MER along with the Franchise PACS and country Directors.
  • Engage with convergent stakeholders to strengthen our impact and deliver value to the business.
  • Evaluate and analyze complex issues/policies as well as the impact of policy development on the business.
  • Ensures cross-functional and system-wide alignment to optimize the use of resources and maximize the impact of public affairs, government relations, and sustainability plans.
  • Act as key interface for planning and coherent activities to the respective bottling partners in the Franchise.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to build awareness of policy issues that could impact The Coca-Cola Company.
  • Monitors regional NGO’s, activists, and political developments to identify trends with implications to the business.
  • Engage with and builds coalitions with regional and local government and non-government stakeholders in KSA to advocate for or against and advance policies and programming that support our business goals in collaboration with our Public Policy, Sustainability and Strategic Communication teams.
  • Accountable for the implementation of Public Affairs & Sustainability strategies and key priorities across KSA and the GCC.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10- 12 years of Government & public affairs in senior roles with responsibility for public affairs, government relations, stakeholder management and sustainability.
  • Ability to navigate and understand the political, policy environment in the ME region.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business acumen and experience in successfully managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Customer/Partnership management and system knowledge experience.
  • Partnership and coalition development and influencing with ability to create value for all involved
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills in Arabic and English.
