Director – Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics

What You’ll Do 

The Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics Product Owner is responsible for delivering end-to-end data products. You will act as a SME on our team for the Consumer Insights & Marketing subject area. 

You are tasked with not only developing data pipelines, warehouses, analytical solutions, but also to establish relationships with Marketing Services executive leadership and representing D&A Technologies org on key strategic efforts. You will spend half of your time with the engineering team and the other half with Marketing & PACS, Marketing Transformation office (MTO) and Marketing Technologies to understand business problems and gathering market intelligence. 

 

  • Partner closely with Marketing Services, Marketing Technologies & MTO organizations to understand priorities and ensure data solutions are in place to meet ongoing demands and changing. 
  • Act as trusted advisor and establish great rapport with other product managers, business partners, cross-functional stakeholders and engineering teams, to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration. 
  • Create and maintain the current and target data integration, architecture and platform roadmaps, reference material and design diagrams. 
  • Enable product vision from product management and operations teams into actionable product roadmap and releases. 
  • Support the marketing and analytics strategy that will allow Consumer Insight Measurement and Analytics (CIMA) to improve efficiency and capabilities. 
  • Work with the product managers, business stakeholders and operations teams to understand product discovery/definition and convert to actionable items on the backlog. 
  • Prioritize and sequence the backlog through feature mapping, user story creation, definition of acceptance criteria and document it in tool.  
  • Write effective user stories with SMART goals. 
  • Stay attuned to evolving consumer and marketing technology/media trends 
  • Ensure the business and engineering team is working on stories that maximize value. 
  • Assist in enriching the data collateral, such as metadata, quality profiling, DataOps and FinOps. 
  • Coach & develop the next generation of engineering talent on consumer insights and marketing analytics subject area. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in delivering BI and advanced analytics solutions in Marketing and Sales Analytics & Optimization (MSAO) and CIMA. 
  • 5+ years of work experience writing Product Discovery/Definition for software in a Product Owner role. 
  • Able to work effectively in a highly complex matrix environment, with a proven ability to influence without formal authority and achieve results through people. 
  • Deep understanding of marketing domain and datasets (covering CDPs, DMPs, DAMs and DTC eCommerce), customer surveys and segmentation, data analytics and modeling. 
  • Experience with Lift analysis, Marketing Mix Modeling and Forecasting, Attribution, analyzing campaign effectiveness, conversion rates etc. 
  • Experience working with 3rd party data from aggregators like Nielsen, Kantar, Ipsos etc. 
  • Proficiency in media platforms and 3rd Party Tools (Google Adwords, DoubleClick, MediaMath, Bing Ads, ExactTarget, Hitwise, BrightEdge, Facebook, etc.) and digital channels (Search, Display, Social, Video and Email) 
  • Proven experience in automating data life cycle management. 
  • Experience in the beverage or consumer goods industry is a plus. 
  • Experience in Agile development including Scrum and lean techniques.

Pay Range:
$159,300 – $184,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
