Transformation Lead, OE & Digitalization

Job Objective :

•Responsible for developing and implementing lean strategies to support factory transformation and 5-year master plan.

•Drive continuous improvement culture and engage associate full-on participation in improvement initiatives.

•Utilize lean and improvement tools such as ECRS, WCT, Poka-Yoke, VSM etc. to identify E2E pain points and bottlenecks to drive E2E value stream improvements.

•Track and analyze production data to identify deviation/ root cause and potential initiatives through data analysis, provide solutions to improve product quality and production efficiency.

•Lead in proactively identifying and executing improvement opportunities, ensuring annual improvement targets achievement

•Continuously improve production metrics, including capacity utilization, production efficiency, and product quality, to identify and resolve potential issues, enhancing overall factory performance •Empower business transformation by promoting lean capability building; manage lean/TPM training planning, implementation, assessment, and certification.

•Drive the pillar management, establish and implement pillar step master plans and capability training plan.

•Continuously update with industry trends and technological advancements, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of lean production methods, and making appropriate improvements based on practical situations.

Key Result Areas:

1. Partnering and Engagement Leadership

•Manage customer (business leaders, teams) expectations and ensure execution of Operational Excellence programs.

•Work closely with CPS Shanghai Plant LT/FLT and CPS global OE team to understand and develop business strategy

•Maintain linkages with Center OE and global OE team members to provide inputs and understand recent developments on OE

•Provides internal consulting and services on all matters relating to Operational Excellence for CPS Shanghai Plant

•Support improvement activities in the Lighthouse consistent with the OE Framework. Develop effective plans for the delivery of change initiatives associated with value creation opportunities in the designated region.

2. Governance, Strategy and Program Management

•Ensure CPS Shanghai Plant comply with agreed OE standards

•Define and implement a robust CPS Shanghai Plant assessment plan to bring all functions in plants to the required OE maturity levels.

•Ensure discipline in the application of OE systems, tools and techniques for continuous improvement across CPS Shanghai Plant

•Develop, communicate and implement OE strategies and programs, including the development of the continuous improvement standards, infrastructure and embedding a continuous improvement culture

•Refine strategies, programs or approach as appropriate and develop annual business plans

•Develop and implement standard processes throughout CPS Shanghai Plant, including training on and implementation of approved process improvements

•Be accountable for ensuring the assigned Diagnostics, Design & Implementation projects are completed on-time and on-budget using tactical project management, effective communication and prompt risk-identification and escalation.

3. Capability Development

•Coach and train CPS Shanghai Plant associates at all levels on OE principles, systems, tools and methodologies

•Identify CPS Shanghai Plant capability gaps relating to OE, and make training plans to close those gaps

•Support to develop CPS Shanghai Plant OE & digital transformation agents.

•Develop and deliver sustainable and comprehensive OE trainings, and development curriculum in partnership across all functions

•Provide direct and indirect reports with leadership, direction and coaching to achieve objectives and improve performance and capability

4. Performance Management

•Develop metrics that show the value that Operational Excellence delivers and drive the right behaviors

•Establish performance management routines to drive improvements including coaching on OE approach, principles and methodologies

•Communicate to teams both within and outside CPS Shanghai Plant on OE plans, progress, and ongoing activities

•Improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency by establishing cross-functional objectives, metrics and timelines with internal and external suppliers and customers (end-to-end processes) •Benchmark with other Lean companies, including customers and professional organizations, to share best practice and improve operational performance

5. Other Tasks assigned by manager

Knowledge & Experience:

•5-10+ years Food and/or manufacturing integrated environment work experience; with a minimum 3-5 years in leading Lean/Operational Excellence experience

•Project Management certification / experience (in multi-cultural setting preferred)

•Strong Lean-driven Operational Excellence knowledge with proven practical experience in the use and application of lean principles and tools

•Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills •Manufacturing knowledge

•Finance Skills

•Technically-savvy with good working knowledge of computer applications and information systems •Solid TPM organizing and implementing experiences
