Production Coordinator/Line Lead (Night Shift)

As a Production Coordinator, you will support daily manufacturing operations by coordinating staffing, ensuring equipment readiness and safety, maintaining quality and regulatory compliance, leading and developing team members, and driving efficient, reliable production in partnership with supervision and support teams.

Position‑Related Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily staffing requirements and shift assignments in partnership with the supervisor.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained, fully operational, and safe for use; enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules and procedures.
  • Verify production line readiness at start‑up, oversee changeover activities, and confirm correct installation of all change parts.
  • Validate Production Order Numbers and ensure all product codes are accurately set up prior to production.
  • Monitor daily production operations to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable regulatory requirements; make routine checks and adjustments to equipment or work practices as needed.
  • Maintain high standards for first‑pass quality, food safety, and workplace safety.
  • Identify material and product defects and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Train, coach, evaluate, and develop team members, with a focus on PLEs and Filler Operators.
  • Apply analytical troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of production‑related issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams, line personnel, and management to resolve recurring issues and drive maximum production efficiency.
  • Review daily production documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness; ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted by the end of the shift.
  • Lead by example by consistently demonstrating compliance with all company rules, policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
  • Support the supervisor in enforcing company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School, General Education Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with direct production responsibilities.
  • Strong command of the English Language.

Functional Required Skills

  • Proficiency in basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing units of weight and measure (fractions and decimals).
  • Physically capable of frequently lifting 50 lbs and able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, reach overhead, and grasp material with fingers.
  • Adequately able to hear machine sounds during normal operations (e.g., alarms, bells, tones, whistles) to detect jams, speed changes, and other operating conditions.
  • Willingness to work all shifts and work extended hours and/or overtime as needed.
  • Use of Computer and applications (Email, MS Office Products, Word, Excel, Power Point).
  •  SAP experience is a plus.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in high-speed bottling and production environment.  Work requires exposure to all temperature changes, high noise levels, working around moving equipment, tanks, heights, wet conditions, fumes, vibrations, dust, etc.  Working hours must be flexible with the ability to work all shifts and extended hours as required.    

Equipment Used

Personal protective equipment.  MSDS sheets. Hoist, hand cart, hand tools, measuring instruments, equipment operations manuals.  Safety glasses, hearing protection.
