Position Related Duties and Job Functions

  • Understand and follow production Sequences of Operation and SOPs.
  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, set up, and change over processing and packaging equipment (e.g., separators, batching/blending, heat treatment, homogenizer, filler, labeler, caser, CIP, testing/monitoring systems).
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing operations while complying with GMP, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Analyze machine alarms, reports, logs, test results, and error messages to diagnose issues and implement first‑level corrective actions.
  • Perform operator-based preventive maintenance, including disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and reassembly; assist maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Execute all CIP activities, including chemical testing, documentation, and compliance.
  • Conduct quality checks and in‑process compositional testing using laboratory instrumentation; maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Perform plant sanitation tasks, lead detailed cleaning and hygiene activities, execute the master sanitation plan, and document daily sanitation activities and deviations.
  • Safely operate forklifts to retrieve materials and maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
  • Adhere to GMPs, safety requirements (including Lockout/Tagout and MSDS), and report or correct safety issues promptly.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to maximize production efficiency; identify deficiencies and implement or recommend corrective actions.
  • Train others on job duties as assigned and perform other tasks as needed.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School, General Education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency for manufacturing data entry and system navigation.
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification promptly.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to cross‑train in other departments and travel outside Canada; valid passport required.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. manual and finger dexterity; bending, lifting, twisting; standing/walking for 8–12 hour shifts; working at heights (catwalks/ladders) and in extreme temperatures.
