About the role 

The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliates do business in over 200 countries. We are creating new roles supporting the Head of Transfer Pricing in the Corporate Tax Department, based in Atlanta. The Senior Director, Transfer Pricing will play a key role in developing and executing The Coca-Cola Company’s global transfer pricing strategy, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders 

We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and experienced transfer pricing professional to support complex transfer pricing audits and litigation/Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs)/Advanced Pricing Agreements (APAs) and assist in overseeing the operational aspects of the transfer pricing function, including partnering with the finance function. This role will help to develop and implement global transfer pricing strategies that will require close collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders.   

Key responsibilities 

  • Assist the Head of Transfer Pricing in all aspects of transfer pricing including documentation, controversy management and compliance automation. 

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the company’s transfer pricing strategy in line with global business objectives and compliance requirements.  This includes involvement in policy development where applicable. 

  • Lead and oversee complex modeling and financial model development in the context of transfer pricing controversy, policy development, M&A, valuations, etc. partnering with external service providers and internal stakeholders 

  • Collaborate with regional Tax Counsel and the Head of the International Tax Group on a variety of matters including foreign tax audits, government discussions, and other matters. 

  • Respond to information requests and manage APAs, MAPs and other transfer pricing-related proceedings.  

  • Oversee the management and analysis of intercompany financial data, and prepare and/or review relevant reports and presentations to enable strategic decision making. 

  • Assist the Head of Transfer Pricing with drafting of transfer pricing documentation. Manage outside providers that are involved with the drafting of transfer pricing documentation and review of such documentation.  

  • Collaborate with the Tax Technology team and lead operational transfer pricing process and automation design.  

  • Manage relationships with a number of collaborators including business and finance partners, external advisors and external stakeholders.  

Qualifications and Skills  

  • 8+ years of transfer pricing policy development and controversy experience specific to Fortune 200 companies with a preference for experience in pharmaceutical, technology or consumer industries. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field required. 

  • Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or Master’s in Tax/Economics) preferred. 

  • Deep technical knowledge of economic transfer pricing principles, US transfer pricing regulations and OECD Guidelines. 

  • Proven record of performing complex financial/economic analysis and building financial valuation models 

  • Comfortable with ERP systems and reporting tools or wiliness to learn. 

  • Experience working with Big Four accounting/consulting firm and/or large multinational group preferred.  

  • Strategic and critical thinking and strong analytical skills. 

  • Strong communication/storytelling skills and experience with collaborating and managing cross-functional and diverse teams.

Pay Range:
$180,000 – $203,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
