Supply Chain Optimization Intern

Supply Chain modeling and analytics has become an increasingly valuable capability within NAOU. As the supply chain optimization intern you will be challenged to develop skills in statistical analysis / simulation, supply chain / optimization modeling while developing skills in data manipulation in python, SQL, Excel and PowerBI
Role Description:
Re-define how we plan production: Collect Data, perform statistical analysis and develop recommendations on current state line speeds and what capacity utilization we should plan to

Pick up where a senior design project left off and help CCNA re-evaluate what our manufacturing line speeds should be based on historical data

Perform statistical analysis to determine what capacity utilization we should plan to
-
Develop skills in python and SQL to perform these analyses

Develop presentation development and oral communication skills to make compelling arguments / stories to present to senior leaders
Perform ad-hoc analyses: As the E2E planning group we tend to hold and be the central authority on data in the supply chain organization

Evaluate optimization model extracts to service cross-functional partners with data to improve precision and accuracy across the supply chain

Complete root cause analyses to explain to cross-functional partners what model outputs mean and what the implications of those results are for them

Develop skills in excel to do quick analyses that can be shared and presented with internal customers such as Finance, Co-manufacturing, transportation and planning
Key Success Parameters
The ideal candidate:

Is Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or Business, or have graduated from their degree program no earlier than December 2025.

Is energized, curious and impatient to drive continuous improvement and simplification. Listens well and is not defensive to feedback. Experience with Optimization Technologies Preferred

Needs to be able to interact with associates and leaders from multiple cultures globally and be able to effectively engage, communicate and train associates across various cultures and global locations

Coursework / project work in supply Chain, optimization, simulation, data analysis etc. is a major plus

Monthly Salary (undergraduate): $4,506
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Dates of Internship: May 18 – July 31, 2026
