Product Development Intern

Position Overview:
The Coca-Cola Company’s North America Product Development R&D Team is actively recruiting for a 2026 Summer Internship position. The chosen candidate will support exploratory initiatives for next generation of beverages in the sports category leveraging AI.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis on consumer trends in the sports category

  • Learn product development process by assisting other R&D team members towards day-to-day R&D activities

  • Learn different beverage manufacturing processes used at industrial scale 

  • Work closely with cross-functional technical team to understand the research gaps in sports hydration

  • Conduct bench top formulation work to design and develop new products

  • Contribute towards building next generation sports products, learn new skills, and get to have lots of fun at the same time

Education Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's in Food Science or closely related field or have graduated from their degree program no earlier than December 2025.

Related Work Experience:

  • Previous internship or industrial experience preferred, but not necessary

Functional Skills:

  • Foundational Food Science Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to perform in a challenging, dynamic and changing environment

  • Service minded, team player, high level of commitment

  • Passionate with an aptitude to quickly learn

Compensation:

  • Monthly Salary (undergraduate): $4,506

  • Monthly Salary (graduate): $6,066

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Dates of Internship: May 18 – July 31, 2026
