Consultant, Planner

This role ensures the timely placement and delivery of materials to meet production needs for internal and external manufacturing facilities. You’ll be responsible for order management, inventory accuracy, demand planning, and supplier coordination while maintaining high service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, warehouses, production and distribution sites. Share information on quality, delivery issues, and customer concerns to support timely resolution.
  • Order Management: Create and schedule internal, external, and international orders in SAP. Coordinate with warehouses and transportation providers to ensure on-time delivery. Prepare required customs invoices and documentation for international shipments.
  • Inventory & Allocation: Verify stock levels and package quantities with external warehouses. Allocate inventory in SAP based on age to reduce waste and meet Shelf-Life Expiration (SLE) requirements.
  • Returns & Credits: Validate inventory overages, shortages, and damages. Process debits/credits for loading errors, damaged materials, and transportation claims.
  • Product Lifecycle: Ensure materials are available for new product launches. Manage run-out plans for discontinued packaging and materials with production facilities.
  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical usage and apply demand planning tools. Communicate potential supply interruptions to production facilities.
  • Additional Support: Resolve Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) issues with Accounts Payable / Procure to Pay (AP/P2P) to ensure timely vendor payments. Cover for team members in purchase order creation, assist Research & Development (R&D) with ingredient orders, and provide cross-training support. Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or data analytics
  • Proficiency in SAP and demand forecasting techniques
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and master data accuracy
  • Excellent communication abilities

Pay Range:
$85,300 – $101,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

7.5
