Manager, Business Systems

The Manager, Business Systems is a key member of the Customer Service & Transportation (CS&T) Strategic Initiatives team, providing support to the NAOU Supply Chain CS&T organization by delivering reporting and dashboard solutions to drive decisionmaking and efficiencies across our team and stakeholders. 

The primary responsibilities of this role are as follows: 

  • Translate structured & unstructured datasets into clear and compelling insights that lead to actionable recommendations to drive business results, using modern cloud-based analytical and reporting/dashboarding tools. 

  • Evaluate and improve tools to respond to new ideas and changing business needs. 

  • Participate in the development of analytical capabilities and digitization initiatives for the Supply Chain CS&T organization, including quick-win reporting and dashboarding/scorecard solutions to assist teams in rapid problem solving. 

  • Attend and support key analytics presentations and provide analytical rigor/technical expertise to improve decision-making in support of product order and transportation processes. 

  • Monitor effectiveness of delivered analytical solutions – both qualitatively (accuracy, timeliness, user experience) and quantitatively (productivity, improved stakeholder satisfaction metrics). 

  • Work closely with leaders and members of peer teams and cross-functional business partners to analyze business data, define requirements, build and optimize data solutions and continually innovate new ideas to help NAOU Supply Chain drive productivity and improve customer satisfaction. 

  • Support the CS&T Strategic Initiatives team in the implementation of strategic projects, financial analysis and process improvements.  

  • Support optimization of CS&T data and reporting, visualizations and automation. 

  • Drive the implementation of product order and transportation projects related to master data management. 

  • Strategically align with stakeholder partners to ensure compliance to business requirements and data best practices. 

  • Provide coaching and guidance to other analysts and support the Strategic Initiatives team on process improvements by acting as a subject matter expert on data policies, processes, and systems.   

  • Support the development of advanced analytical methods by extracting and mining data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights for solving business problems, driving productivity and/or improving the customer experience. 

  • Deliver insights while keeping an optimal balance of time to deliver and level of detail/accuracy given data availability and accuracy. 

  • As tools are deployed, build and refine knowledge of the business to help the CS&T function move faster going forward. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • 2-5 years of experience working in data-specific roles 

  • 2+ years experience with Power BI/Tableau/SQL 

  • Advanced knowledge of data management and analytical methods, technologies and tools 

  • Ability to execute highly complex or specialized analytics 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, business, or supply chain, advanced degree preferred  

  • Data visualization & storytelling expertise  

  • Advanced experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes  

  • Familiarity with mathematical optimization and linear programming  

  • SAP, OTM, Anaplan expertise and experience preferred  

  • Working knowledge of data integration best-practices 

  • Programming expertise (e.g. VBA, Python) preferred 

  • Project management experience in digitization initiatives a plus 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and collaborate with different individuals and organizations to reach common goals

Pay Range:
$116,000 – $138,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:
15

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
