Business Operations Director Netherlands

Our products are available to consumers in more than 200 countries and territories. The brands are brought to our consumers through a network of independent, Company-owned or controlled bottling plants, as well as distribution operations who manufacture, package, merchandise, and distribute the finished branded beverages to our customers and vending partners. The Franchise Manager serves as the primary point of contact representing the total region portfolio and will steward the development of the brands with primary accountability of growing revenue, volume, share and transactions through. We are looking for candidates with bottling or general management experience that can build relationships and execute our strategies across our network.  

Key Responsibilities

This role is a senior leadership position, working closely with the Country Manager as a strategic partner and trusted advisor. You’ll play a central role in shaping and driving the Netherlands business agenda.

  • Strategic Planning & Performance

    • Lead the short-term business planning cycle and co-lead the long-term strategic planning with our Strategy & Insights team.

    • Track performance against business goals (sales, growth, profitability), identify what’s driving results, and put in place plans to accelerate or course-correct.

    • Prepare and manage performance scorecards and lead the internal routines that ensure fast, fact-based decision-making.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Act as the “orchestrator” of the local Coca-Cola team in the Netherlands (covering areas like strategy, revenue growth, marketing, and e-commerce).

    • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to align priorities, set the agenda, and drive execution across functions.

    • Build strong relationships with our key business partner, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP – the bottling partner who produces, distributes, and sells our beverages in market).

  • Business & Market Execution

    • Be the main entry point for customer discussions, tenders, and joint initiatives with CCEP.

    • Regularly review and challenge execution metrics (sales KPIs, market performance indicators, customer standards).

    • Visit the market frequently to ensure plans are implemented effectively and identify improvement opportunities.

    • Represent the Netherlands business needs and priorities within the wider Western Europe commercial team.

  • Commercial Partnerships & Projects

    • Ensure global customers like McDonald’s are fully integrated into local market plans.

    • Represent the voice of Dutch consumers and customers in all system discussions.

    • Support high-impact strategic projects (e.g., new partnerships, regulatory changes, route-to-market evolution, equipment initiatives).

Key skills & experience required:

  • High level of experience & maturity to influence the system at a senior level.

  • Minimum12 years of cross system experience or have experience in working in a non-franchise, integrated manufacturer (preferably in FMCG industry).

  • Significant commercial background (customer management, shopper marketing, channel strategy…), ideally in both home and cold channels, with a strong understanding of modern trade.

  • Bottler operation experience is a plus

  • Excellent influencing skills

  • Strong ability to collaborate across system and functions

  • Strong analytics, and able to go from big picture to in depth analysis.

  • Growth mindset and resilience.

  • Good understanding of brands and brand drivers to be able to translate this into excellent commercial plans

  • Proven experience of managing complex and challenging project

  • Can do attitude, not afraid of both doing and bringing other on board to get them deliver
