The Global Record-to-Report Operations team, within the Finance Hub, is tasked with delivering the end-to-end operational accounting process and activities, uphold quality and gain efficiencies across finance functions. We are hiring for a full-time permanent Consultant, Indirect Tax for the Company’s Global Indirect Tax Center of Excellence (ITX COE). This role will report to ITX Senior Manager and will support Indirect ITX function in APAC sub-region, to ensure adherence to indirect tax compliance & regulations.  

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Member of the Global ITX COE, Indirect Consultant supports the day-to-day ITX operations for selected countries / legal entities to ensure effective & efficient ITX compliance process.

  • ITX Compliance: preparation, review, timely submission, settlement and reconciliation activities related to ITX reporting e.g. VAT returns, Sales/Purchases/Importations Listings, Annual VAT returns.

  • ITX Audits: preparation (for ITX Senior Manager‘s review) replies to questions from tax authorities. The job holder will also be involved in health checks and monitor, assess and manage potential ITX risks for countries/legal entities under his remit.

  • ITX Advisory: assistance and advice on a wide variety of ITX questions from internal stakeholders; assisting process teams on correct ITX treatment/ coding. 

  • ITX Accounting: performing timely and correctly balance sheet reconciliations, reconciliation between ITX reports and accounting reports, and performing the necessary accounting follow-ups.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax Law/Law; a CPA or relevant master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance within a multinational company or Big 4 firm.

  • 5+ years of experience in a tax-focused role within a corporate environment or leading consultancy.

  • Strong understanding of local indirect tax regulations and familiarity with international tax protocols, including DAC6 and CRS forms.

  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP; exposure to e-invoicing is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in ITX accounting management, tax reconciliations, and tax reporting.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex tax filings and implement strategic tax planning aligned with business goals.

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with a strong ability to identify and develop process improvements.

  • A team player who is not afraid to take initiative and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with senior management, external partners, and regulatory bodies.

  • Fluency in English is required; additional regional languages are an advantage.
