Quality System Analyst

Basic Function:

Owner of Corrective Action and Opportunities and Risks programs. Analyzes complaints, non- conformances and trends.  Coordinates and facilitate the effective completion of corrective actions within the scope of the Corrective Action Program.  Facilitates the opportunities and risk program for the plant’s continuous improvement. Create and review the external CPS quality metrics reports.

Leads Problem Solving teams and prepares reports to communicate problem solving initiatives.

Essential Functions

Classify complaints to facilitate failure analyses so that root causes are understood and eliminated where possible by using problem solving methodology and risk analysis.

Prepare trend analysis on CAPAs (complaints and non-conformances), understand common issues and communicate solutions to avoid reoccurrence.

Maintain all CAPA related documentation (Minutes, SAP report, Quality Management Reviews, Problem Solving Exercises, etc.). Keep all information from such documents and activities available for all CRI associates in order to improve their processes or performance.

Communicate all program and process owners the trends identified under the CAPA programs, and the risks identified under the Risk and Opportunities Program in order to revise the affected program or the process accordingly.

Collaborate with CRI initiatives toward zero-defects performance (quality and food safety) and zero-damages (safety, environmental, food defense and transportation) by promoting solutions aligned with the continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead Problem Solving Team meetings, team selections, and problem-solving process flow. Assure that problem solving teams submit solutions and or recommendations within a timeframe or as requested.

Coordinate and maintains the implementation of SAP Quality Notification workflow system and conduct annual refreshers to users.

Create and maintain records for CAPA management reviews in a monthly basis for readily accessible for all CRI managers and key personnel.

Alert immediately the quality system manager about the occurrence of any system gap, new risk or threats, new deviation, or any trend that could impact the plant.

Maintain partnership with Corrective Action team members for the revision, monitoring and correction of individual, process deviations, trends and/or risks through meetings and follow-up reports.

Participate and promote activities that contribute toward continuous improvement (5’s, workplace audit, T- Cards, Opportunities and Risks, DMAIC, Risk Analysis, Communication Center etc.).

Supports the plant’s compliance with the FSMA (FDA Law) by conducting weekly inspections as a PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual). Proactively participates in the Food Safety Team and supports the activities to assure food safety compliance.

Supports the Change Management Program as a quality reviewer and verifier.

Continuously maintains his participation as Internal Auditor and guarantees the completion of the action plans generated during the internal audits.

Creates and updates the CPS Quality metrics reports that is shared with CPS Technical and upper management.

Generates, reviews and approves documents related to his functions in the Document Management System.

Requirements:

Education:    

Bachelor’s Degree (Science or Engineering).

Certified CAPA Coordinator or Six Sigma Belt (preferred) Certified as PCQI (preferred)

Fluent in English and Spanish

Experience:   

Three to five years of experience in quality assurance/systems in food or regulated industry. Experience in problem solving and risk analysis
