Director, Performance Planning, Franchise Mainland China
Focus, Scope, and Impact
We are seeking an experienced, high-impact Director, Performance Planning, Franchise Mainland China to lead and elevate business planning, performance analysis, and financial forecasting efforts for Mainland China. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong analytical foundation, exceptional communication skills, and a proven capability to align cross-functional teams to drive actionable outcomes. What You’ll Do for Us
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Oversee the monthly LE process to ensure accuracy, accountability, and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct rigorous reviews to identify variances, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Lead comprehensive topline performance analyses to uncover actionable insights and opportunities for growth.
Operational Excellence and Performance Tracking
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to monitor business performance, ensuring KPIs and other critical metrics are tracked effectively.
- Prepare and lead Monthly Business Review sessions with Operations and OU (Operating Unit) Senior Management to discuss and analyze performance, enabling tactical decisions to meet annual Business Plan (BP) targets.
- Evaluate existing processes to recommend and implement improvements, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and alignment with future business needs.
Data Analytics and Digital Transformation
- Leverage advanced analytics and digital tools to drive finance digitalization and automation efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Champion the organization’s data analytics journey—transforming complex data into sharp, actionable insights through advanced data storytelling.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership
- Act as a key partner to Franchise GMs and multi-functional teams to drive financial outcomes and strategic alignment.
- Lead business planning efforts and align strategic priorities with long- and short-term organizational goals.
- Collaborate across Franchise teams, Bottlers, OU Finance and Marketing teams, and Platform Services to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability in decision-making.
Communication Focus
- This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively drive financial outcomes, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics, with a focus on communication to:
- Franchise GMs, Operation Directors and Operation Managers
- Bottlers local management leadership (finance, commercial etc.)
- OU finance leadership and teams
- Other teams under network organization (OU Customer and Commercial Leadership, Strategy, Marketing teams and Platform Service teams)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in business planning or data analytic roles
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on storytelling using data—ability to synthesize and present dense information in a clear, actionable way tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills; ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend fact-based, win-win solutions.
- Agile way of learning and working with strong curiosity to business. Keep a proactive approach in addressing business challenges.
- Experience driving digital transformation or advanced finance automation initiatives is a key advantage.
