Risk Claims Consultant

The Risk Claims Consultant is an integral part of the Risk Management Claims Team participating in management and resolution of claims for all lines of coverage in The Coca-Cola Company’s insurance program including Property & Casualty (P&C), Workers’ Compensation, and Financial Products (EPL, D&O etc.)  This role will operate within a multi-functional team focusing on insurance procurement, claims and litigation management, data management and governance.  This individual will work closely with various internal stakeholders, as well as external partners and vendors.

What You’ll Do for Us: 

  • Manage Insurance Claim Process

    • Conduct initial analysis to determine applicable coverage line and ensure timely reporting of claims to third party administrators (TPAs) and insurance carriers
    • Actively participate in all aspects of day-to-day claim administration including but not limited to evaluation of liability, indemnification, and overall claim resolution strategy
    • Handle and track claim tenders to/from bottling partners
    • Drive investigative process by identifying key internal personnel and gathering relevant documentation
    • Coordinate as needed with TPA, Legal department and outside counsel on matters pertaining to litigation
    • Ensure accuracy of data in RMIS databases and utilize systems to perform analysis of claim trends in frequency, severity, and cause
    • Participate in claim reviews and audits
    • Process and track incoming/outgoing payments and ensure adequacy of financial reserves for compliance with internal controls
  • Other/Miscellaneous

    • Monitor correspondence in claim department inbox and action accordingly
    • Provide claim-related support for the insurance renewal process
    • Coordinate internal training and assist as needed with continuous process-improvement efforts

Position Details:

Hybrid work schedule – 3 days per week in person and 2 days virtual

Individual contributor role – no direct reports

Location: Atlanta, Georgia 

Qualification & Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience handling insurance claims for an insurance carrier/TPA or within a corporate Risk Management department
  • Experience in multiple coverage lines is preferred with a strong background in Property & Casualty and/or Workers’ Compensation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Paralegal certification with law firm experience will also be considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required and prior RMIS database experience is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range:
$87,000 – $102,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:
7.5
