Senior Manager, Greenfield Operational Readiness – Automation

We plan to build several greenfield sites around the world with state-of-the-art capabilities that will be operated by high-performing teams. We are looking for a Digital/Automation readiness leader who will play a critical role in assuring equipment, system and people readiness at the site. This person will also drive the vertical startup strategy for Digital/Automation system integration in CPS, by developing and implementing robust testing, training and acceptance blueprint for ITOT and shopfloor system integration. The ideal candidate has a strong background in MES, automation solutions, Industry 4.0 technologies, and startup environments, and able to influence dispersed teams. The initial focus for this role will be India Greenfield and then will later switch to other greenfield as those programs start.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Drive FAT, installation and operational readiness for OT/Automation systems startups within CPS Greenfield projects. 
•    Provide input into the design of each greenfield site to ensure that equipment, materials, people systems, and work processes align with the operational strategy. This includes close partnerships with equipment suppliers, equipment platform teams, IT team and operational teams.
•    Develop acceptance criteria and testing plans (FAT/IQ/OQ) in coordination with suppliers, CPS equipment platform teams, IT team and operations site leaders. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure training and capabilities building for both operations and technical teams at the site.
•    Work with cross functional teams to ensure emulation system readiness for Digital and automation systems Integration test, User Acceptance Test, go live and hyper care are properly executed.
•    Establish skills matrices and training standards for digital and automation systems in partnership with other stakeholders. Facilitate onboarding and training between vendors and site operations/technical leaders.
•    Partner with greenfield site startup leaders to enable them to execute a readiness-based vertical startup approach.  This includes creating IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols that support system UAT and performance testing.
•    Collaborate with suppliers, engineering and site leaders to create standards, documentation, and spare parts strategy to ensure maintenance readiness for new equipment and operations.
This person will foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, working across internal and external partners, including engineering, transformation team, IT and operations.

Qualifications:
•    Degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
•    5-7 years’ experience in the field of automation/digitalization in a manufacturing facility with experience in design, vendor management, FATs, and startup. 
•    Experience in managing global projects and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
•    Should have detailed knowledge of PLC, SCADA system, IT and IOT platforms, Digital Manufacturing operations based on actual project experience.
•    Should have detailed Knowledge of automation systems in the areas of PLC, SCADA, Batch control, Database and reporting, Historian, ERP integration, Equipment connectivity protocols, EMS, BMS, WMS, Robotics, Drives, Vision systems, Emerging technologies – IOT sensors, edge devices, etc
•    Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion to improve and digitize work processes. 
•    Excellent project management, planning and organization skills and ability to work and deliver in changing environments while adhering to specified deadlines.
•    Strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and get results in a matrixed organization. 

Location: Atlanta, Ballina, Singapore or other CPS locations.
