Senior Manager, Retail Sales – Target

What You'll Do for Us

  • Acts as a system-wide expert on strategy, business systems, and operating philosophy of assigned customer(s).

  • Ensures flawless execution of programs throughout the system.

  • Develops and implements Long Term & Annual Business Plans (Food Service & Bottle/Can) and associated forecast volume, revenue, and expenses.

  • Manages national call points for both Food Service/Dispensed & Bottle/Can Beverage categories and oversees contract negotiations.

  • Use the Collaborating for Value & Collaborative Business Planning approach to understand customer business needs, issues, and opportunities to develop viable solutions.

  • Aligns key strategies and initiatives to deliver both Target and Coca-Cola growth, generating system alignment to deliver the customer business plan across bottler territories.

  • Manages overall funding & customer payments and oversees national programs & coordinates execution with division level Account Executives.

  • Builds business plan/solution and contingency plan in collaboration with the customer using information collected during the account discovery process to ensure the plan meets customer needs.

  • Solves issues that arise during execution to eliminate barriers.

  • Reviews monthly call volume detail reports to ensure all customer outlets are correctly represented and active.

  • Prepares and reviews performance updates to identify variances from plan and implements adjustments for delivering commitments.

  • Leads and manages system engagement & execution with the extended Coca-Cola Bottling system to ensure seamless sales and execution.

  • Aligns system resources to implement marketing and operational programs according to plan, schedule, and budget.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of sales, marketing, or account management experience in a large consumer goods organization with increasing responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to create and sell-in customer-specific promotional programs & key initiatives.

  • Experience with Food Service Dispensed Sales (Fountain/Freestyle, Frozen, Tea, Full Serve Beverages) and Bottle/Can DSD environments.

  • Coca-Cola systems and business development planning experience.

  • Proven ability to manage the needs and concerns of multiple stakeholders across various business systems.

  • Demonstrable experience in sales, negotiation, and managing a medium to large book of business.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data in an organized manner.

  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills with an exceptional drive for results.

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results.

Pay Range:
$116,500 – $145,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
