The Regulatory Analyst, develops, improves, and drives compliance to all Regulatory requirements at BODYARMOR. This person will be a strong contributor who works well cross functionally to assure Regulations in the country of sale are applied and complied to at the design phase of Innovation through to first production and in-market. This resource will lead the assessment, approval and ongoing improvement of suppliers and the assessment and approval of all raw and packaging materials.

As the Regulatory Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and label development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and provide advice on ingredient statements and nutritional facts panels, as needed by working with New Product Development.
  • Conduct formula compliance reviews and approve formulation specifications.
  • Manage product certifications including but not limited to NSF and Kosher.
  • Review finished product graphics for accuracy and label compliance.
  • Provide guidance for claim reviews to ensure accurate label compliance.
  • Work closely with legal and consumer relations to address any complex regulatory situations that may arise.
  • Work with legal and marketing to identify product claims and provide guidance using FDA regulations.
  • Contribute to innovation and productivity initiatives by studying emerging policy and regulations that may impact our business.
  • Support the supplier and raw material approval program, by applying food science, nutrition, and knowledge of US regulations to analyze documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or related field, Master’s (including Registered Dietitian) preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in scientific & regulatory affairs around label compliance, claims, food safety and certificate management.
  • Must have knowledge of the United States Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, its associated regulations, and other laws pertaining to the manufacture, labeling, and marketing of food products in the US. International food regulation knowledge is a plus (Health Canada preferred).
  • Proficiency in Genesis or similar nutrition labeling software.
  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • A team player.

Pay Range:
$89,800 – $107,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:
7.5

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
