BR-MN Engineering Manager
Responsible for developing CapEx strategies aligned with cross functional areas across the system and in line with the strategic priorities of the company.
This role is responsible for fostering best practices in the execution of Project Plans, Project Portfolio Management, and establishing agreements that are in the best interest of our operation for CapEx projects to ensure they are executed on time and complete, also approval process, Project Budget and Spent process, ensuring a whole compliance of legal requirements, Company requirements and Financial Policies.
CapEx Strategic Initiatives comprise of projects to support advancement of the company’s business. This includes but is not limited to: Filling Lines, Mixing Process, Warehouse, Utilities, Buildings, Administrative Office, Operational Expansions and Logistical Investments.
What You'll Do for Us:

Effectively Projects Pipeline Management and Project Portfolio Process to meet quality, cost, and time objectives – Includes PMO related process, Capital Approval Process, Master Plan execution, contractor Management, SPP related Process. Lead Project Leaders and External Contractors (Project Managers) to achieve projects objectives and related strategic deployment goals.

Technical design approval process – Technical reviews and approvals required for each project based in project nature, ensuring a full compliance of legal requirements, Company requirements and striving in acquiree the best available solution.

Biding, Negotiation and Contract related activities – Ensuring a full compliance with Company policies related to Purchase and Capital process.

VSU – Lead vertical start-up for new capital projects, process improvements and small capital projects. Lead IQ/OQ/PQ (Installation, Qualification, and Verification) execution phases. Lead site preparation and execution of VSU Operational Readiness Checklist and Deliverables. Define the project’s success criteria and start-up curve(s) and obtain approval from management.

Collaborate with operational routines: Required Training, Business Excellence, OPS and Safety programs, Improvement Initiatives, Global Initiatives, update project process and procedures for Project Department, etc.
Job Scope

Project management record successfully implementing capital projects >500kUSD.

Knowledge and proficiency developing P&IDs, electrical, mechanical and control schematics & CAD drawings.

Knowledge & Skill utilizing MMS & SAP Applications
-
Solid knowledge of food manufacturing industry GMP requirements specifically hygiene, food safety, quality, controls, material behavior and industrial safety standards.

Able to identify and classify food safety risks, develop risk assessment and set relevant food safety measures & controls.
-
Solid knowledge of sustainability & environmental applications, technologies and solutions.

Skills & capabilities developing and/or managing design development processes starting from proposing & scoping capital investments, selecting project consultant(s), managing & tracking consultant design processes, coordinating and aligning design with stakeholders.

Solid knowledge of industry standards. Skills developing technical specifications and URSs for various machines, equipment and installations. URS reviews & alignment.

Project Management skills, specifically tender management, technical & commercial proposals evaluation, contractor and/or consultant selection.

Project planning skills e.g. Gantt charting, resource planning, workload balancing.

Skills using project management tools e.g. MS-Project.

Excellent project troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Knowledge and skills to initiate, develop, align and deploy strategic directions and plans within local site scope e.g. SMP

Basic financial skills and capabilities calculating and evaluating financial impact and/or financial and/or investment performance with capability to propose sound optimization options.

Operation: Direct relationship with the Plant General Manager and Area Managers to support business strategy/plan and share with the rest of the operation new projects and its activities schedule.

Network: Engineering Director, Technical SME’s, Global Procurement Managers, DWT participation and other Plant Engineering team across the globe to share knowledge and critical experiences.

Suppliers: negotiation for executing projects, contract negotiation and execution supervision.
