Senior Manager, Data & Analytics

What You’ll Do for Us:

Discover the business and technical context, analyze the business needs and proposing solutions, translate business needs and change requests into a data-driven solution design as well as appropriate definition of backlog items ensuring that the performance, reliability and security aspects of the development process align with the company's standards.

Engage in hands-on development of agreed design, adhering to the principles of the software development life cycle for end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions. This includes data clearance and validation, big data processing, data modeling, creating visual reports and dashboards or user interfaces, deployment of the solution for test or in production, implementing security measures, and integrating interfaces with other systems.

Enhance our product's performance by identifying opportunities for improvement, designing innovative solutions, and implementing internal process enhancements. This includes automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery for efficiency, and re-engineering our infrastructure to achieve superior scalability, among other responsibilities.

Provide dedicated support for the specific products and solutions, ensuring compliance with the agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Preserve the optimal performance of our systems through diligent tuning, execute comprehensive testing, troubleshoot any arising issues.

Maintain the system and provide consistent support to our user community, create technical and user documents and conducting focused training sessions.

Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and insights to team members and stakeholders. Supervise the work of data engineers and provide technical guidance.

Adhere to Agile and DevOps methodologies, taking a leadership role in the Scrum project management process, and possess the capability to step in as a backup Scrum Master when necessary.

Work synergistically with your team and engage effectively with other technical and business groups, building agreement on solutions and articulating that vision through comprehensive technical materials and persuasive verbal presentations.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

At least 3 year of proven experience as a software developer

Proficiency in data modeling and development of solutions with Database Management Systems

Experience with ETL tools, Big Data and OLAP
-
Experience with Cloud development. Particularly hands-on experience with Azure services for data and analytics, such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL DB is considered a plus

Experience with data visualization – reporting and dashboarding, preferably using Microsoft Power BI

Ability to quickly learn new technologies, take initiative, act proactively, and innovate

Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude

Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to develop actionable solutions

Familiarity with the Scrum framework for agile software development and DevOps principles

Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in SQL and Python is a necessity

Familiarity with Git
-
Knowledge of DAX, PySpark, C#, Scala will be considered advantageous

Web development skills will be considered beneficial
