Data Analyst (Finance IT)

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer for our Finance IT team with a key focus to work on conceptualization, design, and management of our data and analytics solutions on Azure which are integrated with our Oracle EPM Enterprise (Hyperion) applications to make a global impact for some of the world's most recognized brands.

Position Overview:

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing robust, secure, and scalable data processing products and tools that are distributed globally. Your key responsibilities will also include building the integration pipelines and ETL processes.

You will work on the:

  • Microsoft Azure Pipelines for integrations

  • Microsoft PowerBI for visualizations and dashboarding

  • Integrations with Oracle EPM Enterprise Applications: Financial Planning and Analytics, System Economics Tool, Key Accounts Tool, Industry Profit Pools                       

The BA should work closely with stakeholders; Global data Engineering teams, IT Service Management teams, BU IT Leaders and Business leaders/users to help define, manage, operationalize & support the Commercial Finance initiatives and strategies through disciplined management routines.

This role reports directly into Finance Service IT leader for FP&A and Commercial Finance.

Key focus of this role is to work on global Commercial Finance solution developments, deployments, and operations by working with key business users and IT teams.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Engage in hands-on development of agreed design, adhering to the principles of the software development life cycle for end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions. This encompasses ETL, data processing, data modeling, creating visual reports and dashboards, implementing security measures, and integrating interfaces with other systems.

  • Develop logical data model based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components (e.g., Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Models).

  • Provide dedicated support for the specific products and solutions, ensuring compliance with the agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Follow Agile and DevOps principles. Execute maintenance, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting tasks. Responsibilities also cover the creation of technical documents and conducting focused training sessions

  • Collaborate efficiently with your team and with the other teams, fostering consensus on the solution and communicating that vision through both technical materials and verbal presentations.

  • Work on integrations with Oracle EPM Enterprise technologies

  • Assess the compatibility and integration of products proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technology segments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Familiarity with Database, data processing and reporting

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, take initiative, act proactively, and innovate

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude

  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to develop actionable solutions

  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience in SQL

    • Experience in Software Developing

    • Experience with Azure Platform

    • Knowledge of Python, DAX, PySpark or Scala will be considered advantageous

    • Knowledge of Cloud Development will be considered a plus

    • Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus

    • Knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management platforms like Oracle EPM, SAP SAC or AnaPlan is a plus
