The Cross-Enterprise Procurement Group (CEPG) Procurement Analyst supports strategic sourcing operations by collecting, analyzing, and managing data to provide key insights for actionable improvements to the procurement organization. This role will primarily support the 7-Step Sourcing Project work among varying categories across the Globe. The Procurement Analyst will become a key member of several Strategic Sourcing project teams providing analytical rigor and technical expertise to produce fact-based summary information enabling Senior Procurement personnel to improve their sourcing decisions. The Analyst will report to the Director, Procurement Analytics and would get direction from the Senior Procurement Analyst/s. What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Provide analytics to support the 7 Steps Sourcing Procurement Process on projects which are global in scope taking into considerations multiple weights, constraints, currencies, scenarios and strategies.

  • Solicit input from key stakeholders (e.g., bottlers, internal customers, Sr. Analyst) to ensure that system requirements are identified and considered before negotiating agreements.

  • Drive optimization of procurement data and reporting, visualizations and automation

  • Develop basic cost models of suppliers’ value chain; Identify costs and operating efficiencies in supplier processes to generate cost savings for the Company.

  • Expected to communicate with internal stakeholders (Company and Bottlers), external suppliers, and 3rd party organizations (e.g., consultants, industry organizations).

  • The position will be responsible for synthesizing complex data into clear and concise reports. From time to time, the position will be called upon to prepare and present reports to Procurement leadership.

  • Provide analytical support during the supplier evaluation and negotiation process.

  • Provide fact-based support to Category Managers in their development of long-term strategies (3 to 10 years) and in negotiations (annual and multi-year agreements) with annual spend of approximately $10 million to over $1 billion.

  • Guided to developing and implement complex models and decision frameworks. In so doing, it is expected that the position will drive thought leadership and analytical rigor within the organization. The position is expected to document and share process best practices.

  • Requires regular communications with Company personnel, bottlers and suppliers across the globe.

Technical Skills

  • Data Extraction:  Ability to extract and query data from systems.

  • Data Validation:  Knowledge of and ability to understand and resolve data inconsistencies or variances

  • Information Systems:  Knowledge and use of existing KO Technical Information Systems (e.g., JDE, DBS, SAP, Intranet) to generate necessary data; Ability to access, analyze and use information in a manner that adds value to the organization; Ability to propose system enhancements based upon business needs

  • Monitoring, Measurement and Metrics:  Knowledge of key business drivers or measures used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or a supplier; Ability to determine appropriate measures or metrics; Ability to measure against those standards; Ability to communicate performance standards and metrics

  • Record Retention:  Knowledge of the policies and procedures for storing and retaining financial, non-financial and company documents

  • Requirements Planning:  Knowledge of how to plan materials and service requirements to support ongoing business

  • Software Applications:  Knowledge and use of technical software applications appropriate to the specific work activities (e.g., basic Company applications SAP)

  • E-Procurement:    Knowledgeable on e-Procurement Software such as Ariba or Keelvar to support e-Sourcing activities (e.g. RFI/RFP, Event set-up and execution) including sourcing analytics.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree ideally in in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management, Business Administration – Supply Chain and Purchasing, or other Engineering/Management related discipline

  • 3+ years of data and financial or procurement analysis experience

  • 3+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations

  • Experience in Procurement and/or Manufacturing Operations

  • E-Procurement (Ariba, Keelvar or related e-Sourcing tools or system)

  • Exceptional business communication skills, including negotiations.

  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and standards (e.g., best practices, policies) for one or more supplier industries. Ability to provide guidance to suppliers for cost improvements and to incorporate new technologies. 

  • Ability to read and interpret contractual documentation. Knowledge of contract terms, applications and legal requirements, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements. Ability to explain requirements contained in agreements. 

  • Knowledge of products, commodities or services (e.g., ingredients, packaging, logistics services, Coca-Cola products and services) and their related industries. Knowledge of all primary and supporting industries that impact the supply chain. Ability to research markets and synthesize findings for application in decision-making process and analytical work. 

  • Making customers (external and internal) and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships; creating and executing plans and solutions in collaboration with the customer. 

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with mathematical concepts.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
