What You’ll Do for Us

Lead the development of short‑ and long‑term brand and business plans, clearly defining objectives, strategies, priorities, and performance metrics aligned with Japan market growth goals.

Recommend brand budgets and investment allocation decisions to maximize return on marketing investment and long‑term brand equity.

Define clear and differentiated positioning for new offerings, innovations, and category expansions, ensuring strong consumer relevance and strategic fit.

Drive alignment and execution of brand initiatives with key internal functions, including commercial, customer, technical, innovation, and bottling system marketing teams.

Partner with Operating Unit leadership, Market Managers, and bottling system stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and market impact.

Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations of business results, insights, and recommendations to senior marketing leadership and cross‑functional partners.

Monitor category, consumer, and cultural trends, translating insights into recommendations that support brand growth and long‑term competitiveness in Japan.

Requirements & Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
-
5+ years of experience in brand management, marketing strategy, or related commercial roles within consumer‑focused organizations.
-
Demonstrated experience developing and executing brand strategies and integrated marketing plans in complex, fast‑moving environments.
-
Strong understanding of consumer insights, with hands‑on experience using syndicated and custom research tools to inform decision‑making.
-
Experience working with quantitative data sources and performance analytics to evaluate brand health, campaign effectiveness, and growth opportunities.
-
Proven ability to manage external agency partners, including creative, media, and research agencies, to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
-
Solid understanding of core marketing principles, including brand positioning, portfolio management, and creative brief development.

Ability to evaluate creative ideas and executions based on strategic alignment, consumer impact, and business objectives.

Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross‑functionally and influencing without formal authority.

Comfort working in a matrixed, system‑based organization with bottling partners and multiple stakeholders.

High level of data literacy and digital fluency, including comfort using modern marketing technologies and analytics platforms.

Curiosity and openness to leveraging emerging tools, including artificial intelligence‑enabled insights and productivity tools, to enhance marketing effectiveness.

Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Fluency in Japanese and business‑level English, with the ability to operate effectively in a local and global environment.
