EOSH Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular inspections and evaluates workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and local legislation 
  • Ensures facility design meets all local legislation and company health & safety standards 
  • Performs safety acceptance inspections and risk assessments for new or modified equipment, ensuring appropriate hazard controls are implemented.

·       Co-ordinates Safety & Health legal compliance audits 

·       Co-ordinate internal & external ISO 45001 audits 

  • Develops and maintains emergency response plans and ensures availability of emergency equipment 
  • Provides safety training and coaching to employees, contractors, security officers, and drivers; supports onboarding and refresher programs in line with legal and organizational requirements. 
  • Maintains accurate safety-related records and prepares weekly or periodic reports on safety performance for management review. 

Educational Requirements and Experience

  • BSc in Occupational Health & Safety
  • 5 years' experience in a safety related function
  • SAMTRAC & ISO 45001 certification would be an added advantage
