Operating at the heart of the Brussels EU ecosystem, this role manages day to day engagement with the European Commission, European Parliament, and Council on priority files. Reporting to the Head of EU Affairs, the Director monitors policy developments, assesses implications for the business and consumers, and supports the development and execution of EU level advocacy strategies aligned with Europe OU priorities.

What You’ll Do for Us

Key responsibilities include EU Institutional engagement, policy monitoring, analysis & alignment, advocacy strategy coordination, trade associations and external stakeholders engagement and cross-functional collaboration with other departments and bottling partners.

Track and analyse EU policy and legislative developments within assigned areas, translate complex developments into clear insights and recommendations for the Company leadership,

Support the development and implementation of public affairs strategies including collaborating with the Strategic Communications and Political Strategy & Advocacy team to develop relevant thought leadership platforms.

Collaborate with Stakeholder & Social Impact team and Public Policy team to align on policy positions, messaging and engagement stakeholders on business relevant issues

Actively involve with the communities in which the organization operates to aid and address social, economic, and environmental challenges
Qualifications & Requirements
-
A Master Degree in communications, journalism, public affairs or related field.
-
7+ years recent proven experience in EU institution focused public affairs, government relations, or policy advocacy within a corporation, trade association, consultancy, or public institution.

Demonstrated understanding of EU institutions, legislative processes, and regulatory dynamics and proven ability to manage policy portfolios
-
Strong analytical capability with the ability to synthesize complex policy issues into clear, business relevant insights.

High level of personal credibility, judgment, and relationship building capability in a matrixed environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages an advantage.

Experience in community engagement and addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence business decisions and communicate with executive leadership.
