Senior Manager, Media, NO/IS
Role Purpose
The Senior Manager, Media & Connections Norway-Iceland is responsible for driving media excellence, fullfunnel connections planning, and efficient media activation across the CocaCola portfolio in Norway-Iceland. Operating as part of the Norway-Iceland Marketing team, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring media plans are consumercentred, insightdriven, performancefocused, and fully integrated with brand, commercial, and IMX plans.
This is a handson, executional role that collaborates closely with Brand Managers/Senior Brand Managers, the IMX and Creative teams, the bottling partner, media agencies, and network partners. As the media & connections subjectmatter expert for Norway-Iceland, the Senior Manager ensures that national media investment is planned and deployed efficiently, measured rigorously, and aligned with both Local market realities and broader system strategy.
What You’ll Do for Us
Media & Connections Planning

Translate brand and IMX strategies into effective, efficient, and insightbased Local media plans across the full funnel (awareness → engagement → conversion).

Develop annual and campaignspecific media plans in partnership with brand teams and the media agency.

Evaluate consumer and shopper media opportunities in Norway-Iceland, integrating cultural, digital, and competitive insights.
Media Buying Support & Agency Management

Work with the media agency on planning and buying across TV, OOH, Audio, Digital, Social, Search, and Retail Media.

Ensure Norway-Iceland achieves efficient media buying and optimal value from negotiations and agency partnerships.

Review and validate media plans, KPIs, CPMs, CPTs, digital viewability, and platformspecific benchmarks.
Investment Management & Governance

Monitor and report media investment vs. planned budgets; recommend corrective actions when needed.

Approve agency buying orders, shifts, optimisations, and invoices.

Ensure Norway-Iceland media spend complies with system policies, Responsible Marketing guidelines, and governance frameworks.
Connections Integration

Partner with Brand Managers/Senior Brand Managers to ensure media is integrated into campaign briefs, assets, creative, and activation plans.

Work with Social, Influencer, Creative, Shopper, and IMX teams to ensure one connection plan across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels.

Coordinate owned/social content calendars and realtime amplification with IMX partners.
Performance, Measurement & Analytics

Track media performance across platforms, leveraging MMM, brand lift, digital analytics, competitive reporting, and media auditing tools.

Provide postcampaign evaluations and recommendations to strengthen future media plans.

Use data to optimise inflight campaigns for reach, attention, effectiveness, and ROI.
CrossFunctional & Local Network Collaboration

Partner with Commercial, RGM, Insights, Shopper, and bottler (local marketing) teams to ensure media plans support business priorities.

Align with global/Europe IMX teams as needed while ensuring Norway-Icelandspecific relevance.

Drive alignment with legal, PR, crisis management, and social teams when issues arise.
Market Stewardship & Expertise

Maintain a deep understanding of the Local media landscape, platform innovations, retail media trends, and competitor activity.

Identify opportunities to pilot new media formats, technologies, and partnerships in Norway-Iceland.

Support elevation of overall media capability across the Norway-Iceland marketing team.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Digital, Business, or related field.
-
6–8 years of media planning/buying or connections experience, preferably in FMCG or agency environments.

Strong understanding of the media landscape in Norway-Iceland, including digital, programmatic, social, and datadriven advertising.

Experience managing media agencies and large media budgets.
-
Strong analytical skills; able to interpret media performance data and optimise investments accordingly.

Experience working crossfunctionally across brand, creative, commercial, and shopper teams.

Strong communication and influencing skills; able to align partners and stakeholders.
-
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.

Comfortable working autonomously while integrating into a collaborative local team structure.
