Graduate Engineer – Mechatronics
JOB SUMMARY
Coca-Cola Ballina are currently seeking to recruit a Graduate Mechatronic Engineer for its manufacturing plant based in Ballina, Co. Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Graduate to develop your engineering skills and experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
The objective of this role is to support the automated processes and machines used within the manufacturing environment. In addition to technical support, the role also involves influencing the end-to-end business work stream to drive out inefficiency, reduce cost, and enhance safety, quality, and environmental performance. This is a key business requirement in a highly automated, complex, lean driven, batch manufacturing environment, supplying a worldwide customer base.
This Graduate Program is for 22 months.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply a proactive and methodical approach to troubleshooting daily shift production issues that’s occurs due to the PLCs and Software Systems.

Work with cross functional teams to design and implement software/system/mechanical enhancements to Productivity Safety, Quality and the Environment.

Deliver capital projects in line with priority of the engineering team, including process modifications, software robustness, traceability system and miscellaneous upgrades.

Working with contract companies and resources to deliver automated solutions.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-
2024/2025 graduate with an honours degree in Mechatronics required.
SKILLS
-
The ability to program and problem solve industrial systems.

Strong understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation.

Outgoing team player willing to interact with a broad spectrum of functions.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
-
Experience of working within a team in a solution focused environment.
-
Previous experience of an automated manufacturing systems.
