Manager, Tax – Indonesia & Papua New Guinea
Please note: This is not a Remote role and will require the individual to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia and follow a hybrid work schedule. This is an Individual Contributor role.
As Manager, Tax the individual requires the ability to manage monthly and annual tax reporting, ensuring that company is operating in compliance with local tax regulation, handling tax disputes, involving in tax planning, tax accounting and transfer pricing report preparation as well as ensuring internal controls as per company policies related to Tax Matters are being followed.
What You’ll Do for Us:

Review and analyze monthly tax reconciliation and reporting to ensure accurate, complete, reliable and timely filing, as required local tax regulation.

Review monthly corporate income tax and deferred tax accrual.

Review and approve journal voucher entries related to tax on monthly basis

Review Balance Sheet reconciliation and narrative related to tax.

Ensure all accounting records related to tax are accurate, complete and reliable, as required by local tax regulation.

Ensuring that internal controls for tax matters as per company policies are being followed.

Maintain SOX documentation for tax related.

Handling tax audit and tax dispute matters.

Prepare Annual Corporate Income Tax and Deferred Tax calculation.

Provide direction, review and advice on tax compliance for business transactions.

Evaluate impact of any tax update and communicate to the relevant department.

Review current business practice on regular basis and communicate to Corporate Tax Counsel should there is any potential tax risk might occur in the future.

Assist in preparing Tax Package on quarterly basis

Assist in preparing Uncertain Tax Potion calculation on quarterly basis

Assist in preparing transfer pricing report
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
-
S1 degree in Accounting or Tax or professional accounting and/or tax qualification

Minimum of 5+ years in Tax and practical experience and knowledge with Indonesian tax regulation

Familiar with SAP, CORETAX

Fluent in English
Communication Focus:

This role will need to be able to regularly communicate with KO associates across geographies and functions as well as with outside consultants who are assisting with local tax issues, audits, and local tax documentation requirements.

There will be many occasions where this role will be needed to communicate to all levels of KO, at times communicating information that is not consistent with the desires of the business (e.g., when what the business wants to do creates tax issues). Such communication will require a great deal of tact while also the resolve to stand by their positions and support them with their analyses.
