Senior Manager, Category Sales Advisor – Walmart US

What You'll Do

As an Account Executive on the Walmart team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward with one of our most crucial partners. You will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Account Management:
    • Collaborate with an integrated account team to manage key aspects of our business relationship with Walmart.
    • Develop and execute an annual business plan that outlines key strategies and initiatives to drive growth for Coca-Cola within Walmart's system.
    • Ensure that business plans and marketing activities are designed to deliver on volume, profit, and customer satisfaction commitments.
  • Data-Driven Strategy & Insights:
    • Utilize first- and third-party data to influence customer strategy, including marketing programs and product assortment.
    • Serve as the team's expert on shopper data, coaching internal teams on winning strategies and supporting portfolio initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Conduct primary research to identify and fill knowledge gaps regarding customer perceptions and behaviors.
  • Relationship & Communication:
    • Act as a system-wide expert on Walmart's strategy, business systems, and operating philosophy.
    • Cultivate and grow customer satisfaction, maintaining a win-win business relationship and ensuring effective communication with all key buying influences.
    • Manage communication between our bottler system and the customer's field network to maximize the ROI of our first-party data tools.
    • Serve as the expert on our customer, ensuring the broader Coca-Cola system understands their objectives, strategies, and needs.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation:
    • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues or exceptions with customers and bottlers.
    • Generate innovative solutions and embrace new ideas to sustain and grow our business.
    • Employ consultative selling techniques to understand customer priorities and guide them toward mutually beneficial, fact-based solutions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of key account experience in the beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Proven experience in business development planning and managing the needs of multiple stakeholders across various business systems.
  • A strong command of complex selling techniques, with a demonstrated ability to create and sell-in customer promotional programs and key initiatives.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with an exceptional work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and organized manner.
  • Proficiency with syndicated POS and shopper retail data.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience conducting primary research.
  • Experience with Tableau.

Pay Range:
$116,500 – $145,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
