Senior Director, Nutrition Customer Sales – Canada

The Sr. Director, Nutrition Sales is pivotal in driving revenue growth and ensuring the overall success of our company. This role involves leading and managing the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a passion for achieving results, and a talent for building and nurturing teams. This position offers significant exposure and influence across various functions, including Sales, Broker Sales Agencies, Brand, Category Operations, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales goals. 

  • Collaborate with marketing, category operations, trade management, and customer service teams to align strategies and enhance customer experience. 

  • Identify market trends, changes, and competitive threats, adjusting strategies as needed. 

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure the sales team and sales agency meet or exceed targets. 

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers. 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team and sales agency, fostering a culture of high engagement and performance. 

  • Evaluate and develop sales agency capabilities to improve productivity and execution. 

  • Demonstrate and promote the values of The Coca-Cola Company through words, actions, and by example. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 

  • At least 8 years of sales experience. 

  • Strong end-to-end knowledge of customer management, planning, and retail execution, particularly with Broker Sales Agencies. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Business Knowledge: Understanding of CPG business systems and back-shop processes. 

  • Client Relationship: Ability to foster relationships across multiple functional teams. 

  • Computer Capability:Proficiency in using information tools such as volume and revenue reporting, trade planning systems, and Excel. 

  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the CPG industry. 

  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and implement process improvements. 

  • Process Orientation: Ability to simplify and articulate complex processes for high-performing results. 

  • End-to-End Distributor Operations:Expertise in distributor operations, including execution, sales, space, RGM, and operations. 

  • Capability Development and Deployment: Ability to develop and deploy capability programs, ensuring knowledge transfer and application. 

  • Structural Models: Knowledge of high-performing team structures and command/control mechanisms. 

  • Concept Development and Exchanges: Ability to plan and organize forums for information exchange and strategy development. 

Role Facts: 

  • 11 direct reports with grades ranging from 9 to 12. 

  • Collaboration with Acosta Sales Agency. 

  • All channels (Large Store, Club, Walmart, Gas & Convenience, Value, Drug, Natural). 

  • Oversight of Warehouse Delivered, Food Services, and On-Premise operations. 

  • Coverage of Total Canada (Coast to Coast). 

  • Management of 36M unit cases delivering over $300M in net revenue. 

 

Pay Range:
$187,000 – $223,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
